Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a diplodocus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a diplodocus.
Somebody should’ve said sooner that their little bops don’t hurt. I fed him a mejoberry and he proceeded to come after me hit me one time idk if it hurt all I knew was I ran asap. And that it’s easier to tame them passively by giving them mejo instead of shooting tranq arrows
Build a small pin (for you) I used one foundation and 4 window frames. The dippy stands on top and you won't be moved at all. Tame away!
If you stand between their front legs they won’t be able to hit you and they won’t move.
Lystro kibble helps a ton.
Just tamed a male diplo it kept seeing me and yeeting me like I was some sort of fly that was annoying it I tamed it with mejoberrys so I named him mejo I need to unlock a diplo saddle tho idk y I’m on single player I just kind wanna ride him very easy tame for a large Dino tbh I’m gonna (soon) tame a brontosaurus though he’ll be useful still though!
If you don't have time on your hands like me then make the diplo chase its tail it will reduce it's hunger quickly (first few attempt might take a while to get hungry )
Or you can make it trap you between rocks and feed it and I'd like to thank the guy who originally mentioned this tip it was a life saver.
In mobile if you go up and feed it you get 5 percent and if it moves the food meter goes down quicker
You can start a passive tame and then knock out as their food will be decreased from the passive taming process. Their taming bar will reset but effectiveness is not lost except by not using their preferred food as normal. This is for if you don't want to keep checking on it for the passive tame and intend to leave it on its own while it is unconscious.
Taming a diplodocus,
Get 30 mejo berries
Find diplodocus and stand under front legs so it can’t move
Repeat feeding it
You’ll get lv. 30+ for 30 engram points
Enjoy your diplodocus!🦕
My suggestion is run a cave or two go to an obilisk and tribute the artifact for a balm and find a good lvl diplo and feed it great for storing stuff and taking hits
For not getting nocked around is stand under its belly near the start of its neck and just stand there
GoodLuck taming
Sincerely lonely dodo 🦤
Easiest thing, get berries (I'd say stimberry because just about everything I see wild diplos things it says feed stimberry) and stand under it until it's yohrs, tho make sure no carnies around (or anything that will attack you bc if ur u Der the diplo if it doesn't phase through the diplos gonna get hurt and possibly die)
Hope this helped. -Kiara
Make sure u get all the dilos or anything that will attack away bc if it attacks the diplo it will start the process all over again. Also tip, try to get it between rocks or 2 trees that it can’t get thru and make a wall behind it so it can’t get away or run after u to make the process easier.
All you need is Mejoberry's
Step one- Find a Diplodocus
STEP 2- Get Under the Diplodocus (GO BY THE BACK TWO LEGS)
Step 3- Feed it Mejoberry's

For everyone earlygame, you can get under a diplo at the right angle where you can feed it but it doesn't hit you or reposition. That, or trap it/'get it stuck to tame it.
Thought he was trying to kill me...they call this "playful"...its like playing with a bat and your a baseball....
It is a passive tame with mejoberrys and a knock out tame with mejoberrys.
Saw a level 85 that I figured would be pretty beneficial, but knew the wait time would be agonizing, so I decided to go for my first knock-out tame with these sweethearts.
Don’t. Just. Don’t. I spent tranq darts, arrows, I even went into Creatuve Mode to cheat myself some shocking tranq darts just because I was desperate for SOMETHING to work. Idk how many I wasted but by the time I gave up going for a knock out I knew I would have long finished a passive tame. Just start feeding it and while waiting for that second feed time to initiate, get these sweeties stuck so they don’t chase or wander off and plan for something to do around your base. Set a timer based on however long you think it’ll take for them to get hungry after that first go, or better yet, just toggle ‘track tame’ and it’ll let you know when the taming progress begins to drop that it’s hungry. Gotta start all over now! Heh, I’ll consider it a bit of karma for trying the violent route for these impish yet vexatious giants.
You can passive tame it or knock it out.
These guys can be tamed by getting knocked out or if you want it faster than passive tame it
No wonder why you can't upgrade there melee
