The tale of the shadow phoenixes

Chapter twelve.

It was cold and snowy the next morning but that didn’t keep the five friends from meeting up together at the old musician’s house again. James and Tom arrived first and waited for their friends to arrive. James sat at a table and was playing chess with his shadow while Tom paced back and forth. “Calm down Tom. What are you afraid of? Leah suddenly ditching you for some other guy?” James asked while moving his queen into place. Tom glared at him. “No! And also first of all you know that since you control that shadow you’re technically cheating AND you’re not supposed to be using your power in public! And to think you’ll be king!” Tom exclaimed. James frowned at him and adopted their mother’s tone of voice. “Now, now Tom dear, no need to be a worry cat. And technically both you and James will be king because y’all are twins.” Tom frowned at him. James changed his voice back to normal. “If I could just use my power to convince you…” Tom began but James interrupted him. “But you won’t because you PROMISED that you wouldn’t use it on me and besides…you would get terrible sick.” James said giving Tom a worried look. Tom sighed. “I know. But please James….stop being so reckless.” Tom begged. James sighed. “Fine, but only for you Tom…besides it’s not like anyone is about to come in.” Just then the door opened and Arianna and Cole stepped inside, with Leah trailing behind them. They were chatting about the ball. In a flash James’ shadow disappeared and reappeared where his shadow was supposed to be.

There was a Time when my Diplo saved our tribe from a alpha Carno by pushing it off a cliff. Sadly, He also fell with it and we couldn’t save him in time. His sacrifice really saved us from a total wipe. RIP Max

The Obelisk

Whew! We’re finally here! I like writing this and all, but these last chapters have been hard since I haven’t had much time on my hands the past week. Also a little boring. But still super important to the story—it gets much more interesting now!

-Chapter 33-

As the four carnivores walked through the deep forest of Runheimr, every stick and stone seemed filled with life. Ever step, every tail flick, and bushes rustled, trees shook, and lumpy shadows scurried out of sight as multiple creatures watched them curiously.

We’re being follower, Forest thought.

Crimson groaned, throwing her head back. She whirled around to glare at a young Microraptor who had been watching her for the past few minutes. “DO YOU NOT HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO??” She demanded, making him jump.

“This is their territory,” Spark said as the Microraptor flung himself higher up into the trees to hide. “they’re all wondering why we’re here, and what we want.”

Scowling, Crimson lifted her head to all the shadows around them. “We have BUSINESS TO ATTEND TO, LIKE EVERY SINGLE CARNIVORE,” She roared. “Hm? Now go AWAY!”

Rust rubbed his temples. “Jeeze, Crimson,” he muttered.

Several creatures leaped through the trees and bushes, leaving, but a few of them stayed, finding better hiding spots and keeping their distance from Crimson.

“Every creature in the forest is gonna know we’re here,” Forest murmured, slowing his pace to glance around at the hidden figures. “Even the Terror birds.”

“Let’s hope not,” Spark said with a worried look. “I don’t think they’d like a bunch of carnivores sucking up all the attention when they’re around. Maybe we should find a more secluded spot.”

“It is getting dark,” Rust observed.

“Where are we gonna sleep?” Crimson asked.

“Maybe we could find a cave?” Forest suggested. He turned to the hidden shadows behind them. “Anyone know where we could get some sleep?”

No answer. A few shaking bushes and claws scrabbling on rock, but nobody spoke.

“Hmph,” Crimson grunted. “Guess we’ll have to find one ourselves.”

Forest lifted the sack from his shoulder and opened it to pull out Needles map. He sat down and unrolled it on the Forest floor, hoping for clues. “Hmmm. I don’t see anything.”

“Maybe there are no caves in Runheimr,” Spark supplied.

“I don’t know,” Forest said slowly.

Suddenly, inside the bag, a bright light ebbed through the opening. He squinted and reached inside.

It was the rune. It was glowing brighter than before. “What the…?” He held it out to see.

“Woah,” Spark said, the green light reflected in her eyes.

“Why is it doing that?” Rust asked.

Forest opened his mouth, but before he could say, “I have no idea,” one of the bushes shook from his left.

And as he turned his head, a small, pale creature leapt from its branches, slipped under Forests talons, and snatched the rune from his claws.

I was just walking around not far from my base when I see a diplo without noticing the cliff it’s coincidentally standing by. As I’m looking at it I think: why not, I have the food, I’ll just tame it. So I go over to it getting ready to tame it and I notice something...

First, It’s already tamed.

Second, it has a saddle.

Third, there is a player in the saddle.

And fourth, there is this mischievous vibe to the player, as if he sat there on his diplo next to the cliff on purpose just to troll people who were playing ark when they know they should probably be getting some sleep instead. Well... that’s exactly what the case was, I looked up at him pleadingly but he had no mercy and in a second I was yeeted off the cliff. BUT I HIT A TREE AND DIDNT DIE. So naturally since I was close to my base and wasn’t going to stand for that injustice I ran over there, grabbed my army of dimorphodons, and all he heard was a whistle before he got swarmed by my army of flying demons. I laughed evilly as I watched that frekker get ripped to shreds.

Oh and I found his base shortly after, but I wasn’t so cruel as to raid him. I was WAY worse. Instead, I left some of the meat from his diplo on his doorstep, knocked on the door and ran. What? I had already cooked it for him.

Diplo General: Ok, it looks like the humans are coming for us. But I have a plan. When they approach, we nuzzle them.

Diplo Soldier: Sir, you're a genius.

I tamed a level 450 one a few weeks ago . I did not even hadve them for a day cuz raptors pummeled them when I was doing other stuff 😞 1 like = 1 friend for my dead sausage

Does anybody think it’s funny that for 1 month I thought these things were aggressive but turns out they are just playful and nice
