I was out Raptor hunting when I came across a Diplo that seemed to have appeared right next to me out of nowhere. For a moment I think it’s a Bronto, but I quickly realise that it’s a little small for that, so I go over to check what it is. “Diplodocus” is what appears, much to my delight. I’m about to let it be and continue my hunt when I notice it walking towards me. A little cautious, as I am with any Dino I haven’t encountered before (I’m a noob) I walk to the side to try and see if it’s following me or if it’s just a coincidence. Nope, definitely locked on. Worried now,I quickly leave the game to check Dododex if, for whatever stupid reason, Diplos are aggressive. When I discovered it was completely the opposite, however, I eagerly returned to the game, then laughed as I let the Diplo yeet me around the beach. I lead her back to my home and wedged myself in the corner of some stone foundations so she could continue to play with me while I tamed her. I wanted to name her something cool, but Dippy just suits her!
I Play on switch but one day I stole a diplo saddle and tamed a level 80 one. My tribe was scattered and unorganized so I got it and picked them all up along with another guy and we moved and built a new strong base
I was just walking around not far from my base when I see a diplo without noticing the cliff it’s coincidentally standing by. As I’m looking at it I think: why not, I have the food, I’ll just tame it. So I go over to it getting ready to tame it and I notice something...
First, It’s already tamed.
Second, it has a saddle.
Third, there is a player in the saddle.
And fourth, there is this mischievous vibe to the player, as if he sat there on his diplo next to the cliff on purpose just to troll people who were playing ark when they know they should probably be getting some sleep instead. Well... that’s exactly what the case was, I looked up at him pleadingly but he had no mercy and in a second I was yeeted off the cliff. BUT I HIT A TREE AND DIDNT DIE. So naturally since I was close to my base and wasn’t going to stand for that injustice I ran over there, grabbed my army of dimorphodons, and all he heard was a whistle before he got swarmed by my army of flying demons. I laughed evilly as I watched that frekker get ripped to shreds.
Oh and I found his base shortly after, but I wasn’t so cruel as to raid him. I was WAY worse. Instead, I left some of the meat from his diplo on his doorstep, knocked on the door and ran. What? I had already cooked it for him.
Here's a story of how a Diplo saved my life, so, one day I was going on a metal run with my parasaur(I was low level) when suddenly my parasaur came under vicious attack from a swarm of angry dragonflies, soon it was devoured alive and I picked up its metal, but then I was too heavy to move, so I sat for a long time dropping things until I saw a huge creature with massive teeth running straight towards me! The creature turned out to just be a Diplo though so I fed him berries and used him to carry the metal back home,
