What are tips for diplodocus? Tips and strategies for diplodocus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you stand between its legs in the right spot it'll infinitely try to pus you but it'll never work.
Lots of people compare these things to busses but I like to think of them as cargo trucks mutate the heck out of its health and all of a sudden you got a tank that can yeet enemies and carry a small army on its back kinda broken 100 likes and wild card will add a diplo tek saddle
Many people make fun of these things but just wait until you find one by a cliff, I never stood a chance
If you’re higher level taming to breed for a carcho use a ghille suit so it doesn’t bump you
Tip stay away if he chase you and go back if he stop chasing you
Get a lot of berries, the kind they like. Put it on your hot bar and tap it when it is hungry. This is the most annoying passive tame I’ve ever seen (in my opinion). It will ‘playfully’ push you. When it does that, you go back like, 80 yards from it. Warning: DO NOT TRY TO TAME NEAR CLIFFS. There is a big chance it might push you off. Do not tame near carnivores, as if they attack it, all progress is lost and it might die. It is surprisingly weak for such a big Dino. It has much health though. Every time you feed it, it will add 2% to taming (in my experience).
If ya want to tame one of thses guys passively than after you feed them berries let them (play with you) like let them keep hitting you and knocking you back then they will want more food.
All you have to do is go under it then feed berries then wait for a long time but make sure you are moving with it cuz then it will fling you like a piece of dust.
They'll shove you around if you try to ta.w them, but it does no damage. They eat berries and the best option is Mejoberries. You can jump before they shove you to not go quite as far. Just beware of cliffs or getting shoved into dangerous areas.
Take crouch go neer him and feed it what he need.
Just get under them (easier on a hill) and just feed them mejos for a while I suggest farming them with a parasaur or trike cause you’ll need a lot
There’s a sweet spot slightly between but kind of behind the front legs where it won’t reposition itself nor push you away. Once you find that spot you don’t need to move at all, making taming these guys a little easier.
Since these big teddy bears can't really defend themselves tame a couple of little birds mount the diplo whistle for group follow. Then turn thier group whistles off (so they don't leave) and put the follow (so the don't get in the way) and attack range better at high. They will then stay with the diplo at all times protecting it.
