What are tips for diplodocus? Tips and strategies for diplodocus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You will not realize how great of a tame is thing is until you get one with one that is above 10000 HP. I would recommend this as the first thing to tame right after you can get it’s amazing for a early game tank because of its massive health pool and it can out run animals like the Rex and most animals will ignore you if you are riding on one of these. Best thing is this tame has a lot of weight. Overall a amazing tame to have at early and mid game
These Dino’s take years passive taming
These guys aggro onto you if they see you they are not neutral like i thought they were… at least they only do knockback and not actual damage
Just give them berries but they will start pushing u away so keep running and when it gets hungry again feed it
This Dino is a great beginner tame! The way I tamed it was I lured it out of the jungle to a safe place then stood right behind his front legs. (Which doesn’t let him hit you) at first the taming is slow but after the first time you feed it it goes really quickly. It took around 30 mojo berries for me and it’s really useful so I highly recommend you get one if you can!!
You can passive tame the Diplo with 20-30 mejoberries. It will push you back a few times between ing feeding, but no worries there, it's not an attack and does not deminish health at all.
Can’t damage thatch so noobs inside their thatch base are good to go
Diplos also love Algae, on 2x official they get ~2.5% per Algae but it doesn't give them much food so they take in <5 mins to tame.
Be aware of diplo and cliff. They can push you off the cliff, kill with an argy.
To tame Just stand between their front legs under the belly and they can’t push you, the first berry you give them takes a couple mins until they’re hungry again but after that it’s faster, low levels go up 3 every berry. Good for keeping away predators or as a distraction!
A way to skip the wait after you initially feed it is to sleep in a sleeping bag (mine was 1 hour and 14 min, i used a bunk bed and it skipped most of that time), then after that feed it a second time, position yourself between its 2 front legs while it is doing its eating animation, so that it will keep attacking but won't knock you back, and just afk and feed it every 25-45 seconds.
also be sure to do this in a safe place, since if it gets hit once your taming progress will reset.
They don't try to kill you. They want to be friends.
Just stand behind a rock and a mountain when taming
If you don't have a rock to bounce on there is a spot under the Diplo right behind the begining of the neck you can stand under and it will try but can't push you
Bro I just wiped the whole base with a diplodocus that was an alpha tribe and the diplo had 8m hp
If you stand between its legs in the right spot it'll infinitely try to pus you but it'll never work.
