When tamed, I see these guys as buses of some sort. They can also be ultimate siege machines, just have all the passengers have Assault Rifles or RPGs and boom. They have plenty of weight to hold also.

Built a base near a cliff then if someone attacks this guy will push em off
I got an idea if the tamed diplodocus can attack.So it is like an upgrade for the saddle (that might make it cost more) that adds sharp spikes on its head so when it pushes enemies not only the get knockback they will also get hurt which means we can level up the attack of the diplo.Thats just my idea and yes I think the do deserve a tail whip attack cause they really need a defence in the wild man....
Everyone saying the Diplo needs a tail whip attack and platform saddle, seriously if you want that get a bronto, the Diplo has its purpose and so does the bronto, making one into the other makes one redundant and totally useless. Brontos are attackers and portable bases, diplos are a hybrid of speed and capacity, no one would complain about a gallimimus that can carry eleven people and still have space to spare for three tonnes of cargo, but they do complain about a Diplo which is essentially that in terms of functionality.

To the ppl that say that they want a platform saddle for the diplo... have you read the dossier of the diplo? But but yeah they do need a whip attack tho.
Donβt let anyone tell you the diplodocus is completely useless. Iβve found a VERY viable use for it (especially in aberration)
The diplo may not be able to defend itself however its pretty dang fast,, it also has a crap ton of weight. So I use my diplo for metal runs. On the island I used it as an argument of sorts instead of carrying an anky with an argy (I had just started at the time) I tamed a diplo and used it to carry all my metal to and from base. And because the diplo is really fast it made the journey way less slower than it wouldβve been. I now use my diplo in aberration as a permanent argy, except I gather the metal with my anky and cryopod it with all the metal in my diplo

I use them as cargo transports! Get two or three in a line and you have a metal carrying convoy. Appoint a Rex or other medium- large Dino and theyβre perfectly guarded!

Not as useless as you might think! A high-level spino was terrorizing a nearby river. I took my diplo (Dylan) and while the spino was focused on killing Dylan, I was using my crossbow and rifle to do damage to it. Spino ended up dead, while Dylan was at 2000 out of 3000 health, and I was not injured at all.

This bad boi is useful on cliffs cuz you can push danger off just like my diplo a random guy with a giga started raiding us but they failed as they were pushed by my diplo the giga died with the rider lol πππ
