The Diplocaulus is a timid swamp creature that flees from danger and is vulnerable to predators such as sarcos, kapros, snakes, and piranhas. To tame one, isolate or carry it to safety, carefully knock it out due to its low health, maintain its unconsciousness, and feed it meat or preferred kibble. Once tamed, it serves as an excellent early underwater mount, providing portable oxygen, strong swimming speed, and effective access to pearls, oil, loot, and chitin from trilobites, though it can only be ridden in water and needs protection from larger aquatic threats.
