What is a dimorphodon used for? dimorphodon battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
When tamed
1: can be used as a distraction of have enough hp
3: now they can deal with trikes with none dying
5: can protect you from raptors, troodons, and other small carnivores
10: now you can kill carnos with ease (with support from you with a gun or crossbow
15: I have this many and some have 1k hp, can kill rexes, spinos, and therizinosaur with little effort
My xp multiplier for my file was about 5 and it can get them to have at least 200 hp pretty quick. Thanks for reading this and up if this was useful!
These little guys are great for base Defence. The first technique I mostly only use to defend against quetzals is strapping C4 to a low level dimorph, then whistle him to attack the quetz, and trigger the C-4. Just as he's closing in to bite the quetz. You might need four or five of these guys to down the quetz, but if you ask me, 5 10 minute tames are worth it for a game that probably took the opposition a few hours to tame. Another technique like to use to take out rexes gigas, and other tanky dinos, is go around, behind them with a swarm of dimorphs (don't do this against Brontos or any Dino with a huge AoE attack) Then whistle attack (which is ".") on the rider. They will shred through him so fast, he won't know what even happened. After the rider is off, you can easily trap the giga in a large bear trap, kite it off a cliff (or away from your base) or just kill it, when the Dino doesn't have a rider, it sacrifices attack speed which is a very vital part of PvP.
These little guys, tame no less than 15, the more the merrier, I'm at 30 currently. I don't use them often because ut feels like im cheating. LOLOL They shred through Alpha Raptors and Alpha Carno but they're all 2nd gen at least for the imprint bonus. I level HP Dmg and movespeed to 115% minimum.
If you are wondering whether to get these just know they are in my opinion one of the best in the game, I dont normally do reviews but these guys are insane, I was with 4 of these, all level 230s and encountered an alpha rex, these guys demolished it in a matter of minutes, all having around 2k health and 500 melee, they are incredible for cave runs especially swamp cave on rag, overall an amazing dino, best shoulder mount
Highly underestimated tame, great damage potential. Keep on your shoulder and triple your damage factor whilst riding Pter others. Also will attack close range targets so you don't whack your dinosaur on accident. Also, can load excess weight onto it because 50% conversion rate to your carry weight
How to become a warlord just follow these simple steps:
Step1: Tame a lot of these monsters
Step 2 : Tame more
Step. 3 : level them up until you feel satisfied…
Step. 4 : Target a animal of choice as a ermmm… test subject…
Step. 5 : ( the fun part) grab your popcorn, and watch as a cloud of dimorphodons swarm your opponent until they clear up revealing the skeleton of what used to be the target! >:D
( bonus tip don’t target a titanosaur :( unless you don’t want you dimorphs anymore )
Here's the easiest way to raid every caves, litteraly every caves on the map
First of all, tame a male & female (beware, at the first second you'd start to tranq one, he'd take of, and fly at a huge speed, to attack you back, so, you'd pretty much incapable of taming one, except ridiculously low levels)
2nd point as you'd be able to tame only low level, you'd need to make them attack a lot of low levels creatures, in order to get them some xp
Higher levels would just run away, or kill your futur flying fighter machine
After a while, start to breed them (would need a fully closed build, but really small, your own building would be too large, and they won't breed;
If you'd left any door, any windows open, it would goes aways before completing the process of breeding)
Then, once you'd got a huge amount winged teeth, with good level, you may start training them on higher levels creatures, like a trike
And repeat the process of breeding since beginning etc
After, at least, five or ten breeding and training sessions, you'd start to be able to raid the south cave
Wait, it's might be the hardest way to raid caves, finally...
Get several high levels and Make them follow something such as a dodo, put them in a tall, open building on aggressive and drop wild dinos in the pin to level them up. And when war breaks out, make them follow a tank so they can knock flying people off their tames. (Idea from sl1pg8tor)
