Encountering Tips
How do I kill a dimorphodon? dimorphodon battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Ok so this is a passive carno. It won’t attack you if you don’t mess with it. If u attack it by urself thought u will die. I learned that the hard way 😂. I live on a beach and I don’t go into the jungle a lot but I needed to hunt some dillos so I went ahead and ran into the jungle with my bow. I didn’t find a dilo but I saw something flying by me so I was like “What” I’m a noob compared to other people so I did the stupid thing and shot it. Soo the arrow didn’t kill it and it started attacking me with its friend. I ran to my camp but I didn’t get there in time and it killed me. They were like giant swarming mosquitos evading my hits. Luckily I died near my camp so I got my stuff then I went on my way embarrassed and guess what? The dimorphs invaded my island home. (It’s a small sand bar you can find it on the mid bottom of the island map.) so I went to tame the one that first attacked me. All I used was one piece of meat and some soothing balm and I had a dimorph.(you don’t NEED a balm but it helps and I had it so 🤷🏻♀️) Not only was it a female,I like them cus thy lay eggs, but it was a albino. Don’t have a name yet but I am sure I will love her.
This creature in NEVER alone, make sure to not attack him!
Attack one of these guys and their cousins will come after you and if u are able to get away their cousins cousins will join the fight
Started my hardcore series and tamed a high level raptor and decided to go out to kill some dinosaurs for hide. Ran into this guy and said why not and just after I killed the first one immediately got jumped by 6 of them forgetting they can kill you through your mount ending my series at an absolute catastrophic failure. Lesson learned.
Whatever you do, don’t target one of these with a rex... there will be more that arise out of no where. I learned that the hard way. R.I.P. Rexy 😭 💀
Can’t run it’s too fast have to have slingshot or a bow and arrow
I always wanted to tame it but everytime I hit it it would always end up killing me be careful
Earlier tonight on my Island single-player game, I watched a wild Rex get completely wrecked by three of these things. All three flew away from the Rex’s body completely unharmed.
I’m kinda scared now...
The dimorphodons are dangerous. When i was fighting an Alpha Raptor, flying on argentavis, i accidently attacked one of these. 2 more dimorphodons, randomly flying around also came to attack me. I thought, that they are just attacking my argentavis, but i was wrong. They are attacking you instead of the Dino you are riding. Well, and that was the way i died.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THESE they can hit you on the back of your mount
I was attked by a croc by redwoods and I accidentally hit one so I hopped on my wolf at attked them back and I was already hurt by the Kapro I had been fighting then I noticed the red circular thing growing more vivid around my screen then I was DED
Usually their every in the redwoods the swamp and forests.
Quick hint, leave small packs of these guys alone, or you dead.
Don’t underestimate them. They can kill Rexs easily by exploiting the turning radius and hit the rider on mounted creatures.
If you accidentally hit one, get on a pteranodon and barrel roll until the hole flock dies.
Never shoot one with a tranq dart with a very fast/flying mount nearby they will attack and then run/fly away whilst fighting. Lost 2 quetzals and a raptor to these irritants
I was just walking around and I saw one of these so I was dumb and hit it Wrong Idea it was so fast I couldn’t hit it and attacked me and killed me and I couldn’t even see it
The most efficient way to kill them are using some stegosaurus which can easily hit many ate one blow u can also use a basilisk or a bronto . However these are very good tames and and can easily kill big animals if u tame 4 or 5 of them
When I first started playing I saw one and was like, “hey, this thing it small. It should be easy to nock out and take.” About 15 had gang up on me by the time I got to my bace. Tip for new players: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THESE THINGS. And be careful not to pick up an egg by accident, too.
Saw three of these kill a Paracertherium with ease.. They're tougher than they look.
Only saying one thing: DO NOT HIT THESE THNGS IN THE REDWOODS YOUR TAMED WILL DOE IF YOU DO
