I was level three after deciding to restart my entire game so I could re-build from ground up, and a grey one of these was alone so I took I down with a club no sweat and tamed it with fish meat.

If one come after you, bola it and run. Or knock it out. But I recommend run.

If you set this little guy to aggressive and put him on your shoulder he will take control of your tames and make them kill whatever it wants if you go near wild creatures.

To Tame find one that is alone and bola it then tranq the thing with arrows or club and just give it raw meat and go and repeat it to others and on your way back to base make the ones still alive follow you.

These guys are sooo underrated. You could literally rule ark with these guys

How to tame:

What you need;

2 bolas (u only NEED one but just in case u miss)

5-8 tranqu darts

A club

Around 20 meat (in case it wakes or is highe level)

5 narcotics

First find one and bola, it is best to do it wile it is low or landed. Then shoot it will one or two tranqs. If it is low on health use club. Feed it meat and narcotics. It’s torpor goes down crazy fast so you 100% WILL need narcotics using reg meat. Congrats u got a little murder bird. Now sick it on all the compies and watch the carnage unfold 😈

U can find these guys rarely in the jungle, sometimes at the edge of swamps, and IN HORDS in the red woods (island I mean)

Bruh I tamed two high level dimorphs and bred them for mutations, a couple generations in I have one with 2000 health dealing 450 damage per hit… now I use these things to hunt alphas

Taming one won't be easy because if you fight one and there is others around they will kill you. So first check if there is no other ones. Then if it lands on the around quickly bola it and knock it out with a tranq arrow 1 time or with a wooden club. And give it the amount of fish the dododex says.

Attack one of these guys and their cousins will come after you and if u are able to get away their cousins cousins will join the fight

Surprisingly good early-game tames. I bola’d n’ clubbed a level 27 male unconscious, and he only took three (3) raw meat to tame, I didn’t need to use any sedatives. Named him Centurion, and I only upgrade melee damage. These guys are tough and feisty bodyguards, have them sit on your shoulder and they’ll rip up whatever you’re fighting. Centurion has held his own against a large pack of trodons, and absolutely demolished a pack of compies.

If u want to tame one of these beasts you will want to find near the swamps or deep underground then single them of with a torch or flame thrower just spam them then get a crossbow and wait tell it lands then shoot it with 1 tranq arrow then try spamming a bat because they are hard to hit better to tame at level 30

Mass breed an army, arm them with C4, and prepare for complete domination of your server

Do not underestimate the power of these because they are small. I died several times trying to tame a pair of these; and once I had them, they killed a Spino while I was running away from it, screaming.

A flock of them decently trained can take down most land and sky creatures. Perfect for clearing out caves with Wyverns in them, alpha wyvern or not.

These guys may seem un kill able but they have a couple weakneses 1stegos they hit your birds out of the air 2packs of Dilophasaurus they spit acid at your bird and for some reason when he's hit he flys really low to the ground in circles one dilo can't hit him but two or more can

(i learned that the hard way) 3sarcos that snatch birds out of the air and if your on say a tapejara he will jump pull you of your tapejara and bring you with him

Ok so this is a passive carno. It won’t attack you if you don’t mess with it. If u attack it by urself thought u will die. I learned that the hard way 😂. I live on a beach and I don’t go into the jungle a lot but I needed to hunt some dillos so I went ahead and ran into the jungle with my bow. I didn’t find a dilo but I saw something flying by me so I was like “What” I’m a noob compared to other people so I did the stupid thing and shot it. Soo the arrow didn’t kill it and it started attacking me with its friend. I ran to my camp but I didn’t get there in time and it killed me. They were like giant swarming mosquitos evading my hits. Luckily I died near my camp so I got my stuff then I went on my way embarrassed and guess what? The dimorphs invaded my island home. (It’s a small sand bar you can find it on the mid bottom of the island map.) so I went to tame the one that first attacked me. All I used was one piece of meat and some soothing balm and I had a dimorph.(you don’t NEED a balm but it helps and I had it so 🤷🏻‍♀️) Not only was it a female,I like them cus thy lay eggs, but it was a albino. Don’t have a name yet but I am sure I will love her.

These guys target the rider, not the creature, a great way to defend yourself from raids.

These guys generally aren't strong on they're own but get a pack and these guys will rip anything apart like a swarm of ants

I Spent ages farming with my Pteranodon but the one of these guys where sitting their so innocently so I hit it then all a sudden I see 15 or more of these dims and they killed my Pteranodon and I lost my loot ) :
