Works as a good "falcon" for hunting, put it's target distance on highest and follow range on lowest set it to attack YOUR target and shoot the thing you want it to catch with a slingshot since they're cheap and it will go kill the thing and bring you back the drops(I said use slingshot because "attack my target" whistle seems to stop creatures following you)

I have seen two of them take down a Rex no problem

I have 15+ lvl 40 of these and they can shred brontos when you pump melee and some health.

The thing with these birds is they always attack from behind. The only way to escape is to outrun it.

So handy while traveling! I got swarmed by a pack of raptors, and one of these guys absolutely shredded through them. They can attack while on your shoulder, so just pump melee and have good armor and you might as well have a portable Rex on your back

When your giving the dimorph food while it is unconsious, treat it like a pteranodon, because they lose torpor faster than they drain food.

Was flying on my quetz and I watched a level 8 and 12 take out a level 56 Rex.

I like to keep one on my shoulder while exploring. If set to neutral, they will help you fight anything that attacks you, and is especially nice to take down those annoying meganeura and titanomyras. Exclusively pump meter damage

Breed for speed: When using 5+ following you on a flyer like a Torpe. You can move faster than most mounts. It makes them a flying missile much harder to hit. If you aim your x on the rider they will attack the rider not the tame. And with 50/50 speed/dam just a few hits and pvp over. Got jumped by 3 wyv and won so…

Even with a longneck rifle, remember to lead by a LOT when it's flying horizontally past you. Small hitbox + lag = some arrows and darts registering hits on your screen, but not on the server. At 30ms lag it's about a body length inc. tail.

Bolas really are the best plan, to get them to SIT. THE HECK. DOWN. You need to lead more because of the slow travel time for bolas, but getting the dimo down is such a relief.

Aggroing headshots also works, but can do more damage than you intend. Make sure to bring a lot of bolas, and maybe clear the dimo's flight path of other dangers first so you don't, y'know, run directly into an alpha raptor while staring at the sky...

Ghillie suits are great if you're trying to snag one in a dangerous area! Good luck building your death swarm.

It would be really cool if you could get like 6 of these and make it that they hold onto a post thing and u can fly around and they’d make it craftable at lvl 45

These re op. On pvp servers in mobile, there is a glitch that makes them travel infinite distance to attack a targeted foe. They are easily tameable, hit them with a bola, use a slingshot because they have low torpor, and feed them. Have narcotic ready to feed them.

Awesome tames. Keep one on your shoulder to protect you, just keep an eye out you don't throw it by accident. They can run caves but you may lose some especially if you go through water. Use a Tapejara on patrol and have a murder of 5 or more kill damn near anything. Turn off their resource gathering or it'll be stuck with too much meat.

Bola it and then punch it they only take a few hits and it saves tranq arrows.

Here’s ten steps to tame this lil thing!

1: make sure it doesn’t have friends near by

2: get about 5 or 8 tranqs but if u use toxanic arrows then make about 4 or 3 bc they get knocked out too fast-

3: find it

4: if you’ve found it shoot it with your tranqs!

5: when knocked out feed it whatever meat you’ve got

6: once it’s tamed bring home

7: once you’re back home do whatever you want

8: find meat with it

9: tame some more so the lil dude can have friends:)

10: go on adventures with it if you’d like to!

If you get one and keep it on your shoulder, they can really easily kill flying bugs, and they will collect meat for you

Lil ol moon me took a stroll and attacked 1 by accident, that was the end of strolls for me.

To counter dimorphodons it’s very easy. The pteranodon barrel roll. Gotta keep landing for stamina though.
