Move the Dimetrodon to a secure taming pen away from swamp hazards, then knock it out with tranquilizer darts to avoid killing its fragile body. Feed it the preferred taming food and monitor its rapidly falling torpor constantly, using narcoberries or other torpor-restoring items as needed during the long tame.
