Be prepared to sit and tame for a very long time. They use up a lot of narcotics so you don't have much time to look away from the inventory

If you ever read this before taming one bring LOADS of narcotics or bio toxin it's torpor goes out Very fast, faster than a compys!

Amount of narcs used is not correct, a lot more was required.

Use a quetzal to take it to a safer location. Tranq it with darts and bring an appropriate amount of narcotics. Torpor drops as fast as a Giga

Well I guess dimetrodon is on the same level as giga and mosa, they all require queztel kibble to tame .-.

Let the unconsciousness drop by alot, and then feed it narcotics so that it goes up and it takes way longer for the consciousness to go up then down, you'll have saved alot of narcotics.

Be warned these animals are very low on health so use traq darts not arrows. Also try to try to drag them out of the swamp because it's so hard to protect them. Best recommendation is that you bring at least 2000 narcos and you knock it out while having an ally tribe guard you so they don't do damage to your tame. Beware these need to have all eyes on them if you forget or have a moment of hesitation they will wake up and you will waste your expensive quetz kibble. Lower levels are better to tame for eggs cost less kibble but, higher levels are sometimes needed but will cost you dearly if you forget them. Good luck guys and watch your backs in the swamp.

Take one and pump melee so that it incubates eggs better. I did that to one it only took that one to incubate a bronto egg.

Torpor lose so fast that you can go get a water irl and it already woke up

Was it just for me or does their torpor drop super fast!?!

Just a few tips: 1: Make sure to when taming bring lots of narcotics. They have high torpor but drain super fast. 2: If you can definitely use some sort of flyer or cryopod that can carry this because it is super slow. 3: Works as an air conditioner and gets better temperatures by upgrading melee.

Use narcoberries instead of narcotics. This is very important when taming an animal with high torpor drain. The narcoberries take longer for the torpor to rise, and narcotics take a smaller amount of time to rise. This is useful for a dimetrodon tame because narcotics will not last as long as the narcoberries and you want to have the torpor rising for as long as you can.

I suggest leading them away from the swamp before attempting to knock out, as there are plenty of dangers in the swamp and it is much easier.
