Tips & Strategies

What are tips for dimetrodon? Tips and strategies for dimetrodon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
A must have in mobile if u wanna 100% imprint a baby dino since there is a chance they'll ask for dimetrodon kibble and is by far,in my opinion, the most annoying kibble a baby can ask for.
These guys only lay eggs on the water, the egg is small asf and their habitat is a swamp which makes it harder
ALWAYS BRING NARCOTICS
These lil guys lose torpidity at lightning speeds, if you don’t have narcotics then you most likely won’t be able to tame one
I found most of these guys in swamp areas. Can be used to regulate temperature for incubation
Do you wanna tame this thing? Here a tip! Bring LOTS and I mean LOTS of narcotics preferably bio toxin, this thing at like 1000 of my bio toxin and so I left it for 10 seconds and it woke up and took like 2 stacks of meat and so always remember your gazillion bio toxin
These creatures needs alot of narcotics. When knocked out, wait for the torpor to drop. Then force feed narc (1 narc = 40 torpor). The torpor meter will slowly rise and give you time to do other things.
Also remember they need natural water in order to lay eggs. They cannot drown after a patch i belive
Use narcoberries, NOT narcotic. Torpor loss is paused while it's being gained, and berries cause torpor to rise much slower. It's the difference of being able to walk away for 10 minutes vs 2 minutes.
I have found many of them inland on the lava island. 5-9 present at any point in time. Coord: 30,65 approx.
This guy was impossible I literally had to punch him to death and then it still didn’t work 😩😩😩😩😩🙁🙁☹️☹️😵😵😵
Pls make this carryable so some of us in ark mobile can tame these without getting killed
The dimetrodon is one of the few passive swamp creatures.
Mobile version sucks -_-
You can't carry em with an argy
People say they arent nearly as good as air cons but if you have the right stats they can be much better. I believe on average you would need 8-12 air cons to hatch a wyvern egg, but my 4 dimetrodons with 350-400% melee can easily incubate wyvern eggs with no problem. I dont like working with electricity so its a nice alternative. (Plus theyre portable!) melee damage affects how well they act as air cons, so make sure you pump melee damage into them if you wish to incubate eggs. Theyre hard to tame but are worth it imo
