Never think about being or try to be cool by trying to tame a hole pack of dilos it will bite you and kill you in two second and ten if your lucky so don’t do it just do one or two at a time so you don’t risk everything

The way to escape their poison attack is to jump.

How to tame a dilo

1.you will need to prepare: meat, tranqs, something that uses tranqs as ammo.

2. Find a dilo

3. Shoot it with tranqs until it gets knocked out

4. Feed it raw meat

5. hooray you have a weaker variant of the raptor that spits blinding green goo at your face.

Mutate these and have them running around your base on aggresive, you know what happens next.

Now hear me out....

This little ditch has been a huge part of my Ark experience.

For beginners, this one is a very useful tame. I would suggest you to tame more than one of these. For instance, about two of these(tamed) were once able to kill 2 raptors(one of the raptor also recieved my spear for guidance).

I have 5 of them rn, guarding my base. These guys make a great team as a whole pack.

Extra tip:

If a dilo spits on you, hold up a torch and it wears off quicker. Do this if you don't wanna end up like Dr. Dodger

OK here’s how you tame one if you want one! So you hit it until it’s at low health once it’s unconscious put meat in it inventory raw and then wait a few minutes and then you got yourself a Pet Dilophosaurus! Seriously you can make an army but you need a lot of raw meat Watch out if there’s two of them or more and watch out for poison because I’ve been hit Before!

Overall tips for the dilophosaur:

If you want to kill it, a bow should take a few hits to the head and he’ll fall right down.

Taming - I would not recommend using a wooden club or your fists. Use a slingshot with some rocks for knocking it out, aim at his head, around 10 raw meat (don’t waste any prime meat on this guy, just normal raw meat) should be enough if the dilo is around level 80. If it’s 150 or above, put in 20 raw meat or 25. Wait for a while and he should tame,

Utilities: get an army of these, possibly 10 at best and you should be able to handle carby’s and parasaur s. Maybe trikes, but I wouldn’t recommend going out and trying to kill a trike, they might demolish your whole army.

Decent early game creatures, should protect you from some dangers.

Run, just run.

Or it will destroy your house. :(

How to create a dilo pack

1 find dilo

2 knock out with club

3 put meat in inventory

4 when tame collect extra meat from leftover

5 repeat several times

Also before repeating set them on passive so they don’t kill the other dilos that you’re taming

I don't really tame them but they can slow down other dino's

When you Bola the dolomite you can go behind the dilo to not get hurt :)

Just lock your animals in a house when trying to tame

these are the BEST beginner games (I’m lvl 13 and have 2) they are so useful when they’re not attacking you. Kill loads of Dodos or other Dilos if you find one you don’t want to tame. Great for harvesting meat and hide if set to wonder. Remember to turn to passive when trying to tame others.

I got close to one. It is my enemy, but it didn’t see me. They are sooooooooo dumb

I have not played for a long time but I can tell ya for sure if you have any pick or something similar,you can just attack it and ignore the poison. Go forward and hit it constantly. It should go down in about 5-6 hits if strong. It has not killed me since I started doing this(Btw fists are good too but need more hits)

To tame these all you need is a slingshot and meat. First shoot the Dilo with the slingshot. After it’s knocked out fill it with meat. They tame quite quickly so you shouldn’t need narcotics. BOOM 💥 you have a Dilo. I recommend tameing multiple. 👍

It is actually easy to tame a dilo. First, get a wooden club or slingshot and if you get slingshot id recommend getting 17 rocks because that worked for me and then beat it continuously with a club or shoot it with a slingshot and then kill a nearby dodo and get its meat and then one the dilo is knocked out, then feed it the meat and there u go

Me and my friends were so afraid to tame a Dilophosaur but one we tryed to tame one it was successful we finally tamed something else than a dodo
