When you’re just starting off getting a few dilos are very useful for eggs. Dilo goes to anky, anky goes to carno, carno goes to dire wolf/bear. Dilos are a very good starting foundation for kibble

They are awesome tames, with some exceptions.

How to tame:

1. Find one, preferably alone if you're a starter

2. Equip wooden club (craft if needed)

3. Fight it with wooden club until unconscious

4. Put some meat in their inventory and some narcoberries (keep some meat to the side in case the meat in dilo inventory isn’t enough)

5. Wait for it to be tame and customize it

6. Enjoy your starter killing machine

This tip is for starter players (or when you are replaying the game and are just about 2-10 levels in).

Dilos have a poison attack that blinds and decreases a small amount of health for a short time, it would be wise to avoid this as it gives the dilo an advantage or another aggressive Dino (lookin at you Carnos). So when you see it stop to attack you should jump/strafe (jump to the side). You can also time the seconds between their spit attack. I’m conclusion wait for spit, dodge the spit, and then go ham on these MFs 😂

How to tame a poison boi

1.Spend an hour running away from it

2.Realize you can tame it

3.Spend another hour grinding meat to tame it

4.Tame it

5.Have it attack a trike

6.It gets obliterated

7.You tame the trike

8.Forget about the useless dilo you tamed 2 hours ago

I used a sligshot to knockout 3 of them and they helped me get my first raptor

These are easy to tame and easy to breed. I took a pack of 7 (all around level 50) to the redwoods and they took down a T-Rex, several snakes things, three baryonx, and two carnotaurs. They make it so easy to travel lol.

How to tame:

1: hit it with a wooden club until it’s KO

2: feed it ATLEAST 10 raw meat.

3: kill anything around your dilo

4: once it wakes up take it to your base. (If you have one.)

Hey so I learned that you can tame a low lv trike at lv 6 and your asking how is the dilo and trike related well atleast have two dilos and if your about to die then Either die or kill the trike

So these guys are useful starter tamed and on my pvp server I have a high level one that I upgraded its health and melee on and it’s super good cause I can just fly over someone’s base on a pteranodon a with the dilo is it’s foot on agresive and drop him in the base he wrecks face and then you can just extract him with a Pteranodon again but an argentavis is better cause if it’s gets shot at it’s won’t fall out of the sky

Fun fact my old dilo named venom deiced to save me from a T-rex so they will attack anything from smaller then them to larger then them UwU

Anybody else here because they started a new survivor started with a fabricated pistol for some reason and haven't been able to move because of the 1000 bullets and they needed a pack horse that ate meat? No?

Great for pvp I have a pack of dilos atleast 10-11 of them and they make the best attacking pack ever, there are 4 alpha ones each of them are level 110-190

When you go to cave i would say bring some of these. If you tame alot of animals like a bronto a diplo 6 or so dilos 10 parasaurs 3 raptors a sarco 2 carbonemeys and 2 dolphins a alpha raptor is no match for you even if you only leveled up their health. I was surprise attacked by a alpha raptor at home I couldn't find it and my animals toasted it. And no one died.

Ppl underestimate these, especially even in console. Most ppl tame in mobile because xp is slow and ur beginner for long time. Console if you get like 10 of these or more they will eat ANYTHING.

To many targets to scare for yuty.

Rex, carno, spino dont stand a chance

They will die in water though cuz there land creatures

Pulmos cant knock all of them out same with titanoboa

Wyverns fly so no go

Be cautious because I have seen 3 of these guys kill 2 rexes

People are so wrong about these things if you weigh them down with something (like stone) fully down you can have early game turrets (tested by Jaxonbay09)

Just make it happy and when his health is gowing down feed him KJ
