Severely underrated but at high levels around 1000 health just pump melee and speed and you have an army

-tame a bunch of dilos

-level them up a bit

-slash everything on the island that hasn't knockback or a fast attack (u can kill pretty much everything that is not a fast big carnivore)

Na if you’re new to this you can simply fist them knock and tame simple as that

Dilo’s level two to three tend to be easy. You can knock them out with your hands if needed, but make sure they don’t have any friends nearby. I also tried to tame them, and I only used up about three raw meat. If you are trying to tame something with a dilo, or really any of your pets in your presence, that isn’t a smart idea. They will “finish what you started” and kill the Dino.

Great at taking out animals far larger than itself in packs. Can take out thatch frames and can be an efficient way of getting hide early. effective early pvp asset due to most either having a trike, raptor, or parasaur. Also does well agianst defending you while out gathering resources. Saved me many times early game against predators and other players who tried to hit me with a bola and got creamed. They can easily take out a lvl 80 trike in a pack of four or more at low level.

When it is going to spit - JUMP! They will never hit you

They are not hard to tame at all. If your new to the game and u have basic weapons/tools then u can use your fists or a club. Or u can just use a bolla so it can't move then knock it out. It will take any type of meat except of spoiled meat. They are good 4 being a body guard especially in large numbers.

its really easy to tame them but you should protect it very well.heres some notes to protect your dilos.

1-dont attack a thing that attacks you if you attacked it

Because it will kill your dilos.

2-hide them in a well protected place like a room made of stone with 2 walls high.

3-if you want it to attack something/firest you should compare the level of the dilos with the animal/for example if the level is 120 then you can attack an inguandon easly with it/for more protection to the dilo attack the inguandon firest before the dilo attack it and bring a wooden shield to defend your self/hold the shield until the inguandon is dead.

Pretty easy to tame

Had a 105 tamed defend a dead me and a friend on an official pvp server from two better equipped people. He managed to kill them both and we got their stuff. Definitely a good first tame even at low to mid lvl for pvp. Will recommend.

When you start out a dilo can make for a great pet they can help you taje down mid sized herbivores which can lead to more meat for eating or taming it's never a bad idea to tame dilos.

I have like 10 of these guys leveled up to like 60 each tame them with some meat I used my fist but I would say make sure u got good heath bar bc one spit and they will kill you if ur new, so just work a little on it then get a few more they eat meat so like from a dodo or something easy and get a few more and you can kill trike and more with the 10 I have I bring them out to hunt and add speed and heath and damage and these guys are going to be outstanding for many things. They get kinda of annoying when keeping them in like a pen bc they kinda escape but I just put two thi bc around their pen but they are easy to tame and knock out

Despite how annoying they can be, when I first played vanilla these guys are actually what saved me.

I had a breeding pair tamed along with a moschop’s and I was extremely safe with the 2 following behind, they’re actually very useful beginner tames.

These things can get annoying to noobies so stay clear unless u have hide armor
