Tips & Strategies

What are tips for dilophosaur? Tips and strategies for dilophosaur in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
My dilophosaur is purple with blue feathers
They can be very op once i was attacked by a pterasour cuz I took its egg and a raptor and I had 3 dilos and they killed the raptor and pterasour but died from an alpha raptor and they were protecting me even when I was dead.
1 like = RIP for them
Every single time I log off and don’t have a home, I die to a dilo. The end.
I will take this dinosaur by feeding it meat
In packs these guys are deadly
its better to have a club than fists to deal with dilo and feed dilo with 3-6 meat depends on level🙂
I at least have it back. Not the moschops
Tame an army they are gods for getting more animals like trike with trank guns as well but they give no hide
These creatures are easy beginner tames that become stronger in a pack.to tame them is simple.
1.craft 3 or 4 bolas incase theres a pack.
2.get about 5 meat for low lvl ones if you want more than one get 20 meat.
3.craft a club.
4.sneak up on it or let it come for you then throw bola at it.
5.knock it out with the club.
6.put bout 4 or 5 meat depends on how much the bar goes up per meat may need more for high lvls.
7.Stay alert it will call more dilos near by to help if more come you can either throw bola and kill them or throw bola and tame them.
8.Congrats you have your first predator get more and they will kill anything almost.
Alright, I just started. A few days ago, I'm in solo atm
Tip: get the Dilos. Bonk them in the head with a club or punch them in the snoot. Tame them. Build tiny army of Dilos. Fence in your hut. Keep them in the pen.
Realize that nowhere is safe forever and watch them devour the things that want to snack on you that dare enter that pen.
Breed them. Get pretty Dilos.
Speaking of pretty Dilos, anyone able to answer this:
How many colors do Dilos come in wild?
Nice and easy tame for newbies. Also good for starting to make kibble.
Along with immediately gathering resources for tools, clothes, and a temporary base, a new player should try to tame as many Dilos as possible. That's what I do anyway, I just tame every Dilo I see. Now I have a huge pack of Dilos that are an expendable way of fighting bigger dinos, but capable in a group. They are so easy to tame that it doesn't matter if some die. I level them up to about 400% speed (they start at 300%, at least on my server) and the. the rest goes into health and melee damage.
so when ever I start on a new server I always tame a small team of these guys just for some protection. I recommend you do this when you are between level 3-15
These guys are great because their poison can slow down enemies wile you run for your life, not mentioned they are pretty easy to tame because you can knock them out with your fists. When you are using them I suggest you have their attack range on high ( if it is not they will not use poison as much)and follow distance on low. When you are a low level you can even store perishable items, like narco berries, in them to have them last longer.
For taming shoot it at the head until it is knocked out then put meat in it's taming inventory then wait a little and you should have it tamed unless something came and killed it.
If your having trouble taming a dilophosaur, here’s a guide to help you.
Step 1: craft a bola
Step 2: throw the bola at the dilo
Step 3: know it out with a club or whatever you want to (fists, club, tranq arrows)
Step 4: feed it whatever meat you want to
Step 5: wait for it to finish eating and enjoy!
