They take forever to respawn :/

Officials its like 13-14 beer for a 150. Easier to have a co-tamer with to alternate beer feeds.

The food point system for these guys is way off on Dododex. An actual 150 deino has at least 25k food.

Sometimes even when you do everything right in the taming, they might still stomp you to death. Just because they're moody like that lol. So bring a few sleeping bags with you and be patient. I also recommend wearing you best armor and bring another dino with you and let them stay not too far away. So that when the Deino stomps you, you won't die on the first hit and you can run to your tame before they kill you.

Besides being a great tank and (emotional) support creature, they're also gatherers. They can gather fiber, berries, thatch, wood (same gathering capabilities and weight reduction like the mammoth, only with more weight), meat and hide.

It can do a stomping attack while moving forward, sideways, or backward

So far with the ones I’ve tamed you can move closer when it makes a sniffing sound (not to close or it will attack) and it will take the beer from you so don’t worry about getting close enough to press any buttons

For anyone looking for these guys, I tend to find them near rivers and the southern coast. I’ve found them near red obelisk, the northern parts of the redwoods and the river surrounding it. Hope this helps

I was farming hide with my theri, and I saw two of these elephants, I decided to get hide from it not realising it was a max level one. I killed on of it and the other one kept chasing me and killed my theri 😭

ANY stack multiplier will make them refuse to be tamed, vanilla beer stack size is required

This dino takes 15 beers for a 150 to tame on 1x. It takes 10 beer for a 140. This dino is great farmer for berries, thatch, and wood. It’s very similar to the mammoth but better at getting berries since it’s stomp is all around its body not just ahead of it. Use a shield when taming incase it stomps you, you won’t get hit.
