I just put in a error report to Dododex for taming a 150 because on IOS it says on single times it only needs 5 Beers, but I tamed one at 7am Friday 11, 2025 and it took me 13 beers, so please pack more beers, and yes I play on official asa

If you're taming a Dinotherium and it's ears or trunk are pulled back between animations, you cannot feed it.

However!

If you leave the area just enough for it to return to normal air sniffing mode, you can reapproach immediately and try again. Same with each feed, once it takes the beer, just run ~75m away and go straight back to keep going.

Keep at it! You can do it!

Follow the steps, everybody else is saying, but keep in mind One thing they are not saying is that you need to be a level. 95, before you can tame this animal.

So I’ve been taking these all day. Very fun. Very annoying.

Steps 1:Single out you’re Deino. Killing others or leading it away will do.

Step 2: stand at least 10 feet away any closer will aggro.

Step 3: This is the tricky part. It will be wiggling its ears most of the time, but it needs to go through the process. Once it shakes its head, wags its trunk and THEN wiggles its ears, it is safe to walk under. It will take the beer itself from last slot.

Step 4: MOVE. The moment it grabs the beer, get out of the way. Repeat this cycle and you’ll successfully have your Deino.

Warnings: It will aggro on your Dino if it’s too close. Its first attack will stun you, so be ready. After the stun, you have slow movement speed. Possible bug but one broke my entire armor set. So careful for that as well. Good Luck!

I had 5 trikes and 1 parasaur. I called them the fodder squad. While I was roaming with the fodder squad I had noticed one. In excitement we swam across the river to get a closer look. Little did I know, it becomes aggressive for no reason. It killed the entire fodder squad and myself…

Was able to kite to base feed beer just outside gate, run in gate to stop agro then continue feeding beer when he wanted it for easy tame

Make sure you don’t get too close when feeding beer, even if it does the head shake, trunk swing and ear wiggle, it will still stomp you if you get too close. I found that going just past the trunk usually means you won’t get squished.

There was one who ran after me and got me killed by Raptors. This was in the easy zone. Center spawns need to be re done.

Literally me and my dad saw them and he thought they were kind FYI they are not! Now theres 3+ of them on our island and they destroyed everything out house, chests and all the loot gone now they are on the island forever

These require beer jars and timbres at a similar proportion to the chalic. They require passive taming, be careful of the herds they come in, and the inevitable predators in proximity

When you go to tame them and they turn first time sniffing bear in your last slot DONOT count that animation and if you have flyer bring that with you because if it agro you can just fly away and lose the agro otherwise these buggers are fast and will chase you down

2 tips to add: 1. after a feeding it can do a mock charge: keep running and it'll lose interest quickly. 2. If you approach at the wrong time to feed, keep looking up at the head: the elephant will SHAKE IT'S HEAD as if saying "NO" right before it'll stomp you for getting too close. If you immediately run away it won't attack.

These guys are amazing for wood farming, with better weight than the mammoth and with their trunk swipe they can easily gather 220+ wood per tree.

As of March 26th they are officially on official servers!! Get that beer brewing for one unique taming method!

They're a passive tame, just watch for the three signs of taming them: ears are spread out in front, their trunk moving side to side and they'll shake their heads. Then boom, tamed dino.

A better mammoth for holding wood usally about 4-4.5k is enough for inventory cap if you keep the thatch use theri with power points to father it then transfer it over the Dein and if you have the dreadmare black whole the inventory cap Dein and there ya go 25-30k wood pretty darn fast even on 1x hope it helps.you get wood for those crazy wood expensive deintherium saddles!

Shield works well for knock back
