When going to get an egg make sure to have good armour and a weapon or have someone come with you because you can't hit them when they latch onto you

Cannot be tamed normally, you have to find their eggs like wyverns and drakes.

They're breedable, steel egg method. Can be found in the white rock area on valguero.

So these dudes are tamed the same way you would a wyvern.

You can trap a female deinonychus and then you will have a deinonychus farm

(BEWARE ITS A BIG TIP,MAKE SURE YOU SCROLL IT) It's way more easier than Wyverns and Rock Drakes.I used an Max level raptor with only speed and melee leveled up.You can EASILY steal that egg with a small to medium mount.If the creature is big enough to get latched,well you are screwed.Its an early to mid-game dino.You will definitely have some fun with a mutated one :)

On a flyer eat a RARE FLOWER. They should Argo to you. Lead them as far away as possible or off a cliff if you can. Then fly back really fast a grab the egg. Easier with a buddy .

Only do one cuz it will glitch the 2nd one out of nowhere had 2 140 eggs incubating perfectly fine for over an hour then poof only one is there go out and I find a 150 throw it in same area starts incubating and poof no 150 egg anymore I'm so pissed rn it's not even funny. So yeah only do one egg at a time

Use a flier any will work to lead the adults away from their best and snatch their children

Wanna have one of these guys? I will tell you the best way to go about getting one!; Since for this creature you have to steal it’s egg you don’t require taming supplies! However, you will need to bring a mount with the following perimeters! 1 it has to be decently swift, as the deinonychus will chase you down, gnash you slowing you down, and they can do multiple bleed affects making them very dangerous when overran! 2 Tough, you will need a beefy creature in case you get overrun, I recommend allosaurus, as they are fast and get a pack buff, also recommended if you don’t have access to strong foot tamed, then grab your pteranodon, it’s risky but worth it for the egg! 3 decent damage, of course this doesn’t apply to flying creatures, as you can just fly of if things go south, but if you plan on going on foot, I recommend putting some points into damage! Now that your tame is ready for the run these are maps I recommend searching for them on! Very commonly found on valguero, found at the middle to the top mountains I’m pretty sure, from that point you will find a ravine, this is one of they’re main spawn points for eggs, there is also a path out of that ravine if you plan on going on foot! Next is fjordur, since I have no access to this map as of right now all I can say is good luck, but I might have some vague info on where they might be, on valguero they seem to like ravines in the plains, not the snow biome. They also seem to like weirdly distorted terrain with a relatively small but wide circular pillar, this is of course where they spawn on valguero, but it might be a hint on where they spawn on fjordur, don’t tame my info seriously it’s just a thought, good luck finding them on fjordur! Next on the list is stealing an egg, to do this you have to eithor run in and grab it or take a creature and have it be a distraction! (Also note they deinonychus will not aggro unless your too close, this aggro distance changes when you are near a nest where they can see u way quicker, they will also aggro if you steal a egg, unless distracted, I suggest while they are distracted look for decent leveled eggs and get out of there!) Once you finnaly got your egg it’s time to hatch it, they like the cold I’m pretty sure. Make sure you have quite a bit of meat on you, because they eat a lot, they also grow up very quickly! Ok so now you raised this fluffy lil rapter, I suggest putting points into weight, health, and dmg. This is because it already is a speed demon when it’s a adult, I suggest putting quite a few points into the deinonychus’s weight, as it can’t carry very much! Now you have a fluffy rapter, But for what purpose? Here’s some great things about your deinonychus!; They are very fast creatures, as well as they are versatile, as they jump farther the longer you jump! They take no fall damage, they can jump and cling onto walls (warning they cannot climb the walls) I’ve also heard that while they are on a wall they take no damage, however do not test this out unless your feeling courageous, as I will once I get access to my server again will test this to make sure it’s safe. Anyways where were we! So yes they also do bleed attacks, this has increased dmg every time you level up your deinonychus’s dmg, this bleed multiplier also stacks! So the more you hit your target the more bleed dmg your gonna stack on it! This creature is also very good for scouting, idk about cave mounts though, also good for a quick escape wherever it’s needed! Enjoy your new little friend! Take care and thanks for the support!

I get to the Aberration pit and get blue gems to make a glider suit skin to glide over the eggs and snatch em’ when close enough to the ground. Then, I go to a ledge and start pounding the deinonys in the face with a longneck! It works I swear!

They dont aggro on wyv until you take the egg. Walk up, dismount, press grab all, remount, fly away. easy as that.

Easiest way. Kill them all take the eggs. I used my level 250 rex

The best way to tame one is to lead the adults away on a pt and then dive in and steal all the eggs without any risk of being attacked. This works with wyverns too, just a little more complicated.

Huh. Well it’s funny, hah, so funny, how someone was able to, heh, grab one of these with a CRYSTAL wyvern. Though- hah- considering there are non on Val and there are non of these on the Isles, so I ask you friend- how did you grab an egg with a CW?
