Tame a high lol ptera and level speed and some stamina make a whip and some flak armor just in case. Make sure your whip is equipped before you mount up and just fly high so you don't agro then dive on nest, land, hop off,whip remount and fly. Argy is safer but slower if you decide to go that route. I also bring a pump shotty in case I can't remount fast enough. These guys don't do a ton of damage to low hp dinos and players. On par with raptors at best in wild. So fighting a few on foot with flak isnt undoable.

A really easy way to get one of these bad boys are on a just wait till they are gone out of the radius then check the level and grab if you need it and if it's a low level always take it you can use it for kibble and then you can get higher level eggs spawning (hopefully) hope you find this helpful

I agree w the person that said you don’t need an argie. I got a moth and stole 24 eggs and came out alive without dieing as a lv 23. No need for better creatures, just recommended. Good luck, survivors.

Make sure not to kill them because they won’t giv eggs anymore if u do no more eggs build metal or trek gates on end of bridge if u want infinite amount of eggs you can build gates around an area as a containment area for them so they won’t be fighting a golem and die

To hatch use 9 fire in a room use 200+ wood and make sure you take the wall down to get them out I got triplets from my first egg. Woop

If you want one bring like 2+ ankylosaurs with you into there nests, the ankylo’s will kill the deinonychus and you can take there eggs.

These are three ways to tame a deinonychus. Note: These do work, I’ve tried them.

1: Get a bunch of movement speed, grab the egg, and run outta there. (For modded/unofficial)

2: Wait for them to attack a creature, then grab the egg and run for your life. (Any type of map)

3: Bola your tribemate/Dino as a distraction, then grab the egg. (Basically a quicker way of option 2, also any map)

To clear the area around the nests, I’ve found a good leveled Argentavis is perfect. The healing buff from eating largely negates the bleed effect.

A baby Deinonychus CAN fit inside a Procoptodon’s pouch.

Take their babies then tell their babies that they are adopted

You can’t tame this Dino you have to steal their eggs like a wyvern or a rockdrake

They are super easy to get do not fear to just get them right away all you need is a bird. They nest bottom right and they take one standing torch to incubate be ready with food because they get hungry quick when they hatch. They are really fast and i think they might turn around this disgusting mana meta.

These feathered raptors can seem daunting to tame, but here’s a guide to help you.

1. stealing the eggs is nearly impossible without dying if you don’t have a flyer. Pteranodons work great and are quite early game so I recommend them. Argys can be good though, because they have more health and so are less likely to die to the deinonychus

2. fly over to the place the eggs are in valguero (they are found around) the giant white cliffs and land on a ledge above the nest you want to raid. This is the hardest part, dart in and bite one, then lure the pack off a cliff or far enough away from the nest that they won’t aggro when you grab the eggs. It’s even better if you can get them aggrod on something else like a bronto that will distract or even kill them

3. Go back and grab the egg(s)and immediately fly to a place the deinonychus can’t get to. (in case they aren’t far enough away) and scan for deinonychus. You can either fly back to base or go for more eggs at this point

4. Once at base make several torches or campfires to incubate the egg. Once hatched they will eat raw meat, and it is a normal baby raise. I highly recommend imprinting if it’s a high level to boost its stats.

I’d suggest getting 15-30 eggs at a time. Reason is because u can find anything from lvl 1-150. I’ve been searching for some decent eggs for a few hours, and found a few 40s some 20-25s and one 95. My difficulty is at 1 (I’d go harder but my game won’t let me.) and I can find lvl 150 deinonychus by just roaming around. Just explore and you’ll find something. Look in white cliffs. They’re everywhere there.

Go to Deinonychus nesting site with high level Argi. Go find nest, kill off deinonychus in area. Get eggs and leave.

I would take a pteranodon with my brother being carried by it. I would drop him of, and he would Bola the closest deinonychus, snatch an egg, and we would fly back to our base

Just lure them away from their nest using a flyer and take the egg.

Hey so I am sorry but they are so easy to get all you do is you go to 77/87 and just look I did it whith a pt so just grab it and run it is so easy
