This is supposed to be smaller than a raptor… and easier to tame… Since Utahraptors are bigger than Deinonychus in real life.

SINGLE PLAYER PLAYERS:

If you can’t seem to find deinonychus nests, play the map for at least an hour, loading in a bit of it. Then, use the “WipeWildDino” command (look up how if you don’t know). Load in all the dinos again and then go back to main menu and rejoin. There should be deinonychus nests now spawning. At least that’s what worked for me.

Me and a friend sprinted in and grabbed eggs. Mine was 145 and his was 135! RIP all the jerboas we sacrificed

These bad boys are found in the chalk hills if you want an easy egg location spawn in “Chalk hills 1” there go up and find a giant rock deinonychus nests spawn there and that is how I got all 6 of mine.

Just get a equus, ride in there yeet the egg into your inventory with a laso and run for your life.

Make sure not to kill them because they won’t giv eggs anymore if u do no more eggs build metal or trek gates on end of bridge if u want infinite amount of eggs you can build gates around an area as a containment area for them so they won’t be fighting a golem and die

To hatch use 9 fire in a room use 200+ wood and make sure you take the wall down to get them out I got triplets from my first egg. Woop

If you want one bring like 2+ ankylosaurs with you into there nests, the ankylo’s will kill the deinonychus and you can take there eggs.

These are three ways to tame a deinonychus. Note: These do work, I’ve tried them.

1: Get a bunch of movement speed, grab the egg, and run outta there. (For modded/unofficial)

2: Wait for them to attack a creature, then grab the egg and run for your life. (Any type of map)

3: Bola your tribemate/Dino as a distraction, then grab the egg. (Basically a quicker way of option 2, also any map)

If you're wanting to play Aberration, go to Valguero and grab one of these bad boys first they will make life so much easier. They are also extremely effective in groups. A gang of good Deinonychus could tear apart a giga(tamed)

They should and that the kiddle that you make with the egg can be used for a perfect tame on any thing

Use spawn command. 1 turn on admin logging. 2 turn on creative. 3 use this command: gmsummon "deinonychus_character_bp_c" (input lvl here). Yay u spawn a tamed deinonychus!

They can use a charged jump to go on bigger Dino’s and climb up cliffs. (They are a easy tame just take an egg from their nest and hatch it)

Get about 3 or 4 of these dudes and a bunch of Troodons. Best way to kill anything.

Deinonychus are very useful early game and even late game. Deinonychus will rip u apart if you go near their best. The best way to get them early game is to place a bed and make them follow you. Redrawn at the bed and quickly steal one.

Tame a high lol ptera and level speed and some stamina make a whip and some flak armor just in case. Make sure your whip is equipped before you mount up and just fly high so you don't agro then dive on nest, land, hop off,whip remount and fly. Argy is safer but slower if you decide to go that route. I also bring a pump shotty in case I can't remount fast enough. These guys don't do a ton of damage to low hp dinos and players. On par with raptors at best in wild. So fighting a few on foot with flak isnt undoable.
