Tips & Strategies

What are tips for deinonychus? Tips and strategies for deinonychus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Not fun to encounter. They live in packs and give a bleed effect, so they are pretty strong. They are not a knock out tame so don’t waste tranq arrows/darts on them! You have to steal eggs found in their nests. They spawn in the white cliffs & i have encountered them in the forest aswell so be carefull! What i usually do is get on an argentavis and take a parasaur with me. I use the parasaurs roar to scare the deinonychus away, then i take the egg. When hatched you got yourself a new tame. They are fun to play around with. They are quick & can climb on walls. If you have a pack they can shred through dinos. Not to mention how cute they actually are, especially the baby’s. Hope this helped!
Does anyone know if nests are spawning on console? Looked for about thirty minutes and couldn’t find one.
Step 1:log onto your ps4
Step 2:play single player in ark .
Step 3:bribe your freind to come to your house
Step 4:split screen wit him/her
Step 5:go to chalk hills 1 and find a crevice
Step 6:let them knock you out and let them toss you off so you take no damage
Step 7:let them die and they should respawn right there next to you
Step 8: find a nest and bola your freind and lead the furry chickens to them
Step 9:grab the egg and RUUUUUN
These guys are strong and really good for bosses. I personally am currently breeding mine to mutate a really powerful army of them. Highly recommend them for bosses.
Also say my wild Dino max lol is 150. If I find a wild deinonychus that's lvl 150 then I kill all the other deinos, steal all the eggs and run OUT OF RENDER DISTANCE. By doing this the 150 is the inly one that can fill the nests and you will get deinos lvl 150 with the same stats for breeding and mutating.
Hope this helps!
Team tactic my crew used was to hang one person off a flier with a grabbing hook and playing it like a crane game.
They spawn in packs near the egg spawns. They have a very sharp eyesight so don’t get too close and with their fast pouncing ability pretty much no escaping.
Be sneaky and quiet slow and steady
Lure them away from their nest (I recommend using an argy and picking up another survivor, it keeps them interested longer). Grab the egg/eggs and head home. You will need 16-20 campfires to hatch them and be indoors (you will need 20 if you want to hatch them through the night). Once they mature, which isn't too hard if you have plenty of meat and time, they are great tames being they are powerful and have amazing abilities. Up if this is helpful.
They are like a raptor but 100000 times better.
Stealing its egg is not that hard, and hatching it is also easy. It is VERY fast, and it has also decent stats. When it hits other animals or people it applies a bleeding effect to them. They also can stick to walls and big dinos. I highly recommend you to get some of these
I used 2 otters to hatch 2 lv83 eggs
Wild deinonychus will not jump on you and dismount you if you are riding a deinonychus they will just attack you and that's it.
To get one you find there eggs In the chalk cliffs of valguaro and raise one up from a baby like drakes or wyverns
you can't tame them by knocking them out, BUT they have low torpor so if you have a good eqqus you can kick em a couple times til they're out, then kill them and steal the eggs
Get an oviraptor to pick up the eggs and grab it with a pter or an argent but argent is better if you want more eggs.
Here’s how I get one I lure something that they Agro like couple parasaurs with rare flowers to lure them away and then steal the eggs when there distracted and run
Ps: I used raptor with speed leveled in
All you need to do to tame one, is you just have tame a ptera or other flyer, lure them away from nest (they hardly do that much dmg in the wild, as they don't use their strongest attack) snatch an egg, hatch using multiple fires of any kind, ac's will work as well. Once you hatch them, these little buggers EAT, and you will need a large food supply. They do not eat anything special, just give them some raw meat, and they'll be fine. When you manage to grow them fully, which does not take very long, they grow rather fast, they are rather op. They are faster than a raptor, they have a stacking bleed effect making them op in packs, and have an ability to jump on the back of larger prey, and start feasting on them before they even die, which applies stacks of bleed damage.
