What are tips for deinonychus? Tips and strategies for deinonychus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You can find nest at around lat 80 Lon 80
Only on Valguero
Here’s how to tame it: first you need to find a nest, then you need to steal an egg (flyers like a pteradon most recommended) steal the egg(I would recommend luring them off a cliff and THEN stealing there eggs) then get the FRICK out of there, otherwise say goodbye to you, your egg, And your flyer. These guys have a bleed that stacks up to 5 TIMES, So after you escape, make sure to ditch that place. Then make about 15 CAMPFIRES. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT, 15 CAMPFIRES, And that’s just an estimated amount
🥲, so then after the egg hatches. You need to stuff it with MEAT. Take care of the denoiy, then saddle it up and then your done🫃🫃🫃👍
Like dragons you gotta steal the egg, problem is these things are more populated than even the dragons ravine, generally they have a few nests close together. Carefully fly at night to find the nests since the fertilized eggs glow, during the day get a Pteradon with high stam and do a fly by barrel roll to get the attention of a few, then guide them to an area with lots of dinos to kill or be killed by. I lured some stegos n mammoths near the nests that i found and guided the fluffy fellows to them. Rinse and repeat with breaks in between so your ptera gets enough rest. As soon as you dont see any of em near the nests land next to it swipe and fly as fast as you can far away. Make sure your ptera is on passive btw, so he doesn't fly off when you need a quick escape. -Asheir
You dont need any flying tame, I got an egg in fjordur by running by FOOT, picking the egg and jumping off a near cliff with a parachute, you just need to wait for them to be a little far away from the egg, take it and run for your life and the baby egg life
These guys can be pretty viscous so be careful, these guys are great for early to midgame strong fast and reliable.
If you kill the parents’ you can get the eggs easier, get a fly mount or a strong mount to kill them. I had a fly mount, killed them found a few 140, 135, I think a 145.
I just kill the adults and then steal the egg, got 3 eggs but one evaporated, idk how that works, don’t ask me
Ok best way to tames these
1. Take a flyer to the nests and find a place to scout
2.wait for a nest to be undefended then fly in. The best way is fly slow coming in and fast coming out. You want to spend as little time on the ground
3. Kill any agro deinonychus.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3
They will chill around ANY nest
On fjordur they are EVERYWHERE in the hills just nest after nest there’s around 5 nest locations
Be very careful when stealing eggs from the nest because it’s like automatically know when you do.

Run faster then your friend can
190 movement speed you can run up and whip the nest/egg as you go past
You can find loads of eggs near the vannaland castle on fjordur. They saved me from starvation multiple times.
I use anywhere from 15-20 standing torches to hatch their eggs. Works like a charm. As for stealing eggs, I usually use a pteranodon. I like to lure some of the adults away first, by flying close to the ground for a bit and then striaght up once they're far away, then I grab any eggs I see. Honestly easy enough and they're amazing tames.
Great for abberation or ab zone on val exploration. Tribe mate and I took 2 wild raised eggs and like 50 armor saddles and destroyed literally everything we came accross. 2 crabs and 3 spinos at once? piece of cake. I recommend 2.5k+ health, min of 1k stam, pump melee between 350-400 = absolute monsters. You can solo the broodmother with 1 that has decent stats and saddle. no joke. oh they can leap up cliffs/trees = great for ab! please like
Don't bother knocking out wild, they cannot be tamed in this method. Instead, steal the eggs from their nests. There are many methods for this, but the simplest is to lead the pack away with a swift mount, or simply wait until the pack has moved away from the nest. Be quick, as picking up an egg will draw aggro, the same as when picking up any wild spawned egg.
These nasty little beasts are absolute monsters in a pack, and can make quick work of any dino, so long as they can survive long enough to finish the job. They are excellent for land mobility as well, being extremely fast and having the ability to latch to vertical surfaces and jump up them for a rapid climb. They also have the only bleed effect in the game that stacks with itself and works on all creatures, including bosses. This makes them ideal for taking out the various arena bosses, such as the Dragon, Broodmother, and Mantacore, as well as seasonal raid bosses, such as the Dodorex and Dodowyvern. To cap these creatures off, they have a pounce ability that let's them latch on to larger dinos, making then hard to hit and impossible to escape from on large dinos.
Be cautious when dealing with these raptor-like creatures, because anything less than pinpoint precision can and will lead to a swift and painful death.
