I just got ARK on console, and I was playing on The Island, and saw that I could unlock the engram for a Deinonychus saddle. Ive been an ARK fan for quite a while, and know (or thought I knew) quite a bit about the game, but now I’m confused, because I thought that Deinonychuses were introduced in Valguero… What’s what???

For incubating the egg(s), use 15 standing torches with about 100-200 sparking powder. Sparking powder has more time per 8 units than wood. About 13-16 minutes per 8 sparking powder. They'll last you until the egg are hatched into babies. Don't worry about making campfires or ACs.

Wanna get an egg? Simple, lead a pack of 20 mammoths from the snow biome and make them fall in the trench. This is a very good and totally not extremely time consuming tactic.

Found in trenches on Val map, take a high lvl wyvern and you won’t Agro any deinonychus until you pick up an egg

These creatures are very good in packs. When you are stealing the eggs try and wait till they get distracted

All you need is a high level anything and just get a whip or when they are distracted take the egg I’m just saying what I do 😅

These guys are dangerous if you encounter it unprepared I got killed by one and I was just started so 🤨

All you need is a high level gallimimus with good waight. The just go over to a nest when the Dino's aren't to close hop of grap the egg. It's that simple.

Their easy to get if you play it smart

Uhmmm i just landed on white cliifs for crystal and when i landed i kild the eggs perents and took it

They can’t latch onto pteranodons. Since they live near cliffs, you can get their aggro by flying low enough and bait them off a cliff. After that, go back and take the eggs. Got a pack of 3 on the first day.

When they passively drop eggs they drop raptor eggs, so cool I guess

I could not find a single nest!

The best way to move with deinonychus is spamming jump.

The way their bleed works is that, if a creature has a lot of health, it will take more bleed damage than one with not a lot of health. With this, they can be very good for creatures with a lot of health, such as bosses.

Very fast, strong and versatile mount, can bleed and also get pack bonuses. Though to get one is just like wyverns but x10 easier. Firstly, their nests are mostly found in the canyons present on the chalk hills( white coloured hills ). Using a flying mount with good weight is advised. Go near their nests( quick tip: lure all the deinons to the randomly huge amount of allos that spawn there to give u safety ). Look at the level of their pack leader first. If it's good enough then look for its eggs. If u cant find it, then take all eggs, eat em and come back later. Repeat this and u would definitely get the egg of the specific deinon that u want.

I have 5 fireplaces in my hatchery which is sufficient to hatch. Just hatched a lvl 300 male from egg i found yesterday

Step 1:get a flyer

Step 2:get a carnivore to protect u

Step 3:Get the egg

Step 4:Get on flyer

Step 5:get 16 campfires and place them

Step 6:wait for it to hatch

Now u have a deinonychus

An easy yet sad way to get these easily (only in white cliffs in valguero) what you can do is take a proctodon that has good health and melee damage and kill the parents and steal the eggs with ease. Goodluck survivors. Side note I made a crazy big army with these guys and it takes about 12 conditioners.
