Getting an egg is much more simple than most people think. Get a high level pteranadon, search for nests, lure the unlucky parents away, get egg. That's it. No need to waste resources taming cannon fodder or running in and massacre the population. Be mindful of your stamina and bring a whip if you feel you aren't quick enough to safely grab the egg

Have good enough armor to the point where it is possible to get away from being pinned

They also can hatch in the nest and after hatching and raising you can breed them.

These are fairly simple to steal from. I would advise to bring Trang arrows or some Trang’s but you should be fine either way. Just crouch to the nest. Even flyers work.

For me to hatch one of these, it took 13 campfires + an otter. However I'm pretty sure it takes less when you use the otter from the start. Just tame an otter and then add the fires you need.

If you have a few points in stamina on beach 2 you can take eggs around level 5

Use a flyer when stealing eggs from them they will your land dino won't outrun them

6 air cons was what i needed to incubate. I got lucky on the egg catching because they were fighting other dinos and i hauled butt.

get an igaunadon cause of infinite stam upgrade lots of movement speed and some health and steal some eggs

If you can’t find engram then use the console command: admincheat GFI deinonychussaddle 1 1 0. The second number 1 is the different types of armor, for ex 2 is ramshackle

If you have some pack of 4-5 raptors as bodyguards, is easy to search for Deinonychus’ nests and take their eggs without having a fly mount. In case of some Deinos attacks you, your bodyguard can kill the easily.

I fricking hate these lil freaks, one time I accidentally fell off my argy and died,so I got on my tek parasuar (metal) and went out to find it, two of these lil buds attacked me and my metal. I ran into my base and they followed me in. AND KILLED MY METAL AND ME AND MY ANKLYO STOOD THERE RUNNING OFF. My featherlight and jerboa were safe inside my house. My neighbour tamed a new tek parasuar for me and named it metal, I found my argy btw. #R.I.P metal the 1st. These lil guys are not Gud to mess with if there’s a ton in your island, I’d recommend using a flying mount! :)

They a have a tendency to fall through the map so be careful.

How to tame:

Get an Argy

Get a very tanky and fighting creature. (Rex)

Let your Rex follow you and fly until you find a Deino nest

Put your Rex as a bait and steal some children-

Their eggs are EZ to get. You just have to get a high lvl ptera ( or crystal wyvern if you want it less dangerous ) and lure them away with your ptera ( you have to be pretty close to the ground so they aggro ya ) and you have an deino egg! But if you want to be safe Valguero is the map and if you want to be EVEN MORE SAFE! then just get a crystal wyvern ( you have to be 65 lvl to tame it ) you can easily kill the deinos with the crystal wyvern. Like if helped :) 👆

If you are solo, use a PT and lead them away from the next until they are out of aggro range and grab the egg, if you have a friend, have your friend lure them all away and distract them so you can grab the egg. Simple yet effective

How to get easy deinonychus on Fjordur

1. Go on your flyer to the middle of the right side of the map.

2. Find the spot with about three nest near a cliff

3. Get the deinonychuses to agro you

4. Fly over the cliff and watch them stupidly jump right off

5. Collet the eggs without interruption

I did this and now I have an army of them earlygame
