Do not encounter alone bring your tribe.

Since everyone else's tips are stupid. If you want to find a deathworm, you can use k mode and look underground. If a worm is nearby, you will see it's body. You can use a land mount like a thyla or a flyer like the wyvern. If flying, point the flyer downwards to make controlling easier. As for fighting it....use whatever dino you have. Rexes are great, wyverns too. Wolves are effective against the worms as well as the alpha to. If you plan to live out on the dunes in SE, be prepared to have random encounters time to time. These worms CAN destroy thatch-stone-adobe. My solution was to just use my rex army but wolves work great early game.

For the guy who said where to find on crystal isles: It doesn’t spawn on crystal isles. Mantises can’t be tamed on any map other than ragnarok or scorched earth without admin commands.

Less of a tip more of a question, does anyone know how to get black pearls on scorched. I just killed 1 alpha and 2 normal and only got 8 so that isn't gonna work

get this if you kill one just a level 1 you get 6000 xp dude that's insane right so if you want mass amounts of levels kill alot of these things and I checked the wiki to prove it

Kill the deathworm qween ( found in ice dongeon on ragnorok ) with a flamethrower and rocket launcher p.s bring lots of ammo

for the love of god don’t try to kill it with a mana. it takes reduced damage or something, took me an hour to get it to half health with my mana

It’s pretty easy just get a good damage Dino with at least 20000 hp

This thing got the jump on me and 1 shot me but my maewing somehow managed to kill it so it’s good to always have a high level maewing with you

My 105 wild tame thyla kills them with easy, just walk it to them and you don’t get pushed as far

Just get a wyvern and destroy them.

Just get a thyla with a crap ton of hp. They deal percentage damage bleed.

Easiest way to find, find the main cave exit to under the ragnorak castle, go down as deep as the massive cave goes. Add generators and lights down there took me about 3 hours to do. But they're down there for sure. Glow sticks tend to work somtimes for drawing them out

I came within render of one on scorched and the dune it was in clipped invisible real quick showing the worm inside. First of all, it was huge and looked like a grub, second, I turned around on my moth and got the heck out of there.

In case you're thinking of building in the dunes, deathworms can destroy up to stone tier structures. metal and tek is good though
