High level wyverns are really good at killing deathworms. Even better if you have a friend to ride a second wyvern, you can easily kill it.

All you need is a oil jar, and to know where it is. Find the worm, throw the jar at the ground in front of it, then move backwards while keeping its aggression, that will kill it.

Use a lightning wyvern and regenerate stamina far away then snipe at it from the sky

These things get WRECKED by Velonasaurs. Just saying. (I know they’re two different maps but in case you play on a cluster, use Velonasaurs.)

Using a mana in the lost island desert is a good way to farm deathworm horns. Just freeze them as they come out of the ground then jump out of the way before they hit you. Rinse and repeat and soon you have a dead deathworm

To kill it easily... take you high level/OP lightning wyvern and hit it with the breath while flying. This makes it so the deathworm can't hit you and it'll most likely stay above ground since your close enough... at least that's how I killed one easily

Mid to high level wyverns annihilate these guys. Just swoop in and out while biting and breathing elemental breath on them

Go tame a couple thylacoleo breed them and then take 5 or 6 with you on the hunt. 100% imprinted thyla pack will shred deathworms in seconds.

WARNING if you wanna just take a walk on the sand don't they are hella overpowered they will kill you and you'll never know how many there are or where they will pop out from they are absolutely terrifying there is a alpha one!!! He is HUGE you can't miss it and if your just walking your done for

Use high-level gigas, I took on two alphas at once with a giga pack and won with no deaths

Simple, Blast the worm with your lightning wyvern.

Go into Orbital Camera mode (K button on PC) to scout them out underground

Breed dimorphodons and get lots of em easy kill.

All I used was a lvl 900 fire wyvern (max wild is 600 and levels gained max out at 300)

If you live on dunes in SE have lots of magetheriums because you will have some run ins with these lads and the can destroy wood stone and adobe

You can quite easily kill a deathwork by spit roasting it with two rock elementals. Just have one on either side of the work to keep it still and smash away. The elementals will probably take up to 2k damage each.

Brought my 2 biggest Rexes & Argys out for a leisurely stroll through the desert, only to have it be ruined by some seriously annoying overgrown meal worms.. Needless to say, My lvl 320f Tek Rex & lvl 280 male reg. Rex & Argys weren't having it.. So they ate them all.. lmao
