Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a daeodon? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a daeodon.
Knocking them out is rather easy, and their taming time is insanely quick because of their food consumption, but the hardest part is gathering enough prime meat for them to eat in one go. Not the easiest task.
while shooting with tranqs, they attempt to heal which drains their food heavily but be aware, they take SO much food to tame.
If you want to breed, Be prepared with more meat than mc donald's when it came out on russia, seriously.
This crap head is super annoying but op in healing. When tamed it’ll eat you out of house and home but has a special healing ability
Another very easy tip bola it and club it chin dies more damage when it’s knock out let it hunger and feed it a lot prime meat and 100 or more meat
daeodons tame pretty fast and are easy to tame just make the usuall traps loke for rexes but less and shoot ut with tranq darts and they eat meat
As far as raising daedons i find that if u fill it with raw meat and force feed it stacks of cooked it will give u a breather. Cooked meat fills food faster and the raw meat will keep it going pretty well as it drops food gradually. Pretty easy inexpensive way to do it
Best way to tame is to try and get the one you want to tame away from the other Daedons and knock it down. Or else the others will eat you or the tame after they are knocked out.
Took a ton more tranq arrows for a level 116 than it says, and only one kibble rather than seven :/
found a 300 on a boosted server , took a while to tame. Definitely need to trap it, use stone doorframes and you should be set
Best use these guys for boss fights.

How to tame your very own hog! (Must be level 62). •Step 1.) Find a good level hog (recommended 20+)
•Step 2.) Pick it up with an Argentavis (make sure your argie has good health) •Step 3.) Take it away from its friends (make sure you are near a cliff or rock you can land on) •Step 4.) Shoot it with Tranquilizer Darts from a Longneck Rifle (2-10 should be enough) •Step 5.) Put about 2 stacks of meat in its inventory with 2-5 narcotics and wait. •Step 6.) Enjoy your hog!! More info you may need: #1.)Where can I find Daeodons? On all maps, they spawn on mountains, and in Ragnarok and Lost Island, they spawn in the desert. #2.)How do I get their saddle? Must be level 59, it cost 24 engram points, 155 fiber, 290 hide, and 20 metal ingots. #3.)Why would I need a hog? Daeodons are healers with the cost of food, I reccomend having 3 feeding throughs around your base filled with meat. Your Welcome <3 -- Ark Ametuer
Values above are incorrect, a 140 probably needs about 40kibble. They eat very quickly, are easy to knock out, tame like you would tame anything else with one factor to keep in mind, they are almost always in a pack of 3 so however you would tame a dire wolf, use that same strat.
tame on mobile: research weekly dungeon, if it has daedon go into the weekly dungeon, find and kill but dont harvest its corpse. do same thing several times. come to resurrection terminal and boom its shall be there. note: you should probably have good amount of amber. then tame. :)
I was in the snow biome building it up, I run around under the base and then I find a random 150 daeodon I look at it, it looks at me and it said TAME MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I was like this 150 is actualy good for raising baby wyverns or boss fight and I decide to tame it It wasted all my tranqs but luckily it got nocked. but a few hours later it died in a giant dino attack. :( rip my daeodon (didn't get to name it also).
I trapped mine in a pen made up of 4 stone dinosaur gates with a bit of space between each gate. Then I just grabbed one with my argy and dropped it into the pen then knocked it with regular tranq arrows.
If you run out of kibble during tame. You can use cooked meat jerky to hold on to the tame while you harvest prime meat. Jerky will make tame rise about.1 per bite.
They are eating A LOT of food. This means that you will need to prepare a significant amount of meat in advance. Keeping them alive is a job in itself because they will destroy any amount of meat you put on them within an hour or two. They are very good at raising babies because they fill babies with life.
I use a taming pen I’ve built on a relatively safe ice floe to tame any north zone creature that can be carried by an argy. What I’ve learned from this is that your taming pen needs to be three walls high or the daeodon can in fact smack you. Take your time between shots and do as much damage as you can. Taming a death pig is a lot easier if they use their healing ability (a red glow) directly before being knocked out. This ability seriously drains their food level, and death pigs eat a lot so this method makes taming them as short a process as possible.
Be prepared for your troughs to need topping up way more often with these bad boys. Their abilities make them worth it tho!
