Looking to tame a dragon? Great idea! In this tip I will state what I recommend bringing, however it’s entirely up to you what you plan on bringing! I will start with the supplies to consider bringing!; So there’s to ways of taming this dragon I will first state the passive tamable ones! First to tame one of these, they will only eat crystals! Luckily crystals are always at the ready on the map, (assuming you are on crystal isles where they exclusively spawn) They will eat normal crystals, but they prefer primal crystals! That’s basicaly all the supplies you need (I recommend bringing parachutes as well!) now the tamping supplies for the wyvern heirs! These I do not thing are tamable! The only way to tame them is to first steal one of they’re eggs (found exclusively in the desert) If you plan on doing this, I suggest bringing good armor a flying tame (for quick and easy access to a easy egg), make sure your tame is fast, as you have to outrun them to escape! The crystal wyvern heirs also give you access to primal crystals, however the only way to get these is to knock them unconscious and click on them to gather a random amount of primal crystals 50 or lower! The higher the level, and the type of wyvern (the best is ember and blood wyverns) Gives you more crystals, you cannot continue knocking the same wyvern out, because it needs to regenerate crystals (takes around an hour) if you plan on getting primal crystals this is a good option!
If alphas aren’t arround! Now the spawn areas for these guys! :D The passive tamable wyverns spawn up north east, this is where I find them most commonly! The type of wyvern varies! The 2 types of wyverns I found that were passive tamable (not heirs) are the tropical (the most common one) and the blood wyvern (I find these to be quite rare) the heir wyvern nest spawns nestled in the bottom left corner of the map, you should see a desert mountain with strange pillars randomly arround it, the nests spawn on top of the mountain randomly, as well as on top of the pillars! Here is where you will have access to the following eggs; Blood wyvern eggs(uncommon) ember wyvern eggs(very common to find) however I do not think tropical wyvern eggs spawn in the wyvern nest! Now the fun part; If your planning taming the non aggressive wyvern it’s very simple! Step one wait for it to land, this is a very simple task as it lands very often, but not for very long! Next; eithor feed it the crystal and wait for it to become hungry again, or find a way to jump on the back of the wyvern, then feed it the crystal so your practically riding it while it’s taming! Eventually you will have tamed yourself a dragon! I’ll tell you what they’re great for eventually! If you are considering stealing an egg, it’s relatively simple grab you flying tame and look around all the nooks and crannies, pillars, and you will find a egg! Nests look like a regular bird nest except enhance its size by a lot! Wyvern eggs look diffrent compared to a diffrent species of wyvern; the ember wyvern egg is orange on the top, and a pale greenish yellow on the bottom half! The blood wyvern egg, has crimson on the top, and black on the bottom half! The tropical wyvern egg, is actually pretty simple it’s actually two diffrent colors of blue but we will just say it is blue! When hatching these guys do take note they will ONLY eat primal crystal or they will starve, if they get imprinted, they will consume more food to regain health they lost, so when you don’t have very much primal crystal, I recommend to consider taming a daeodon! Once it’s finnaly an adult you now have a crystal wyvern! Now it’s time to tell you what they are good for! :D since there are 3 variety’s of wyvern that I know of, they each have usefull attacks, anyways I will start with the good old tropical wyvern! This wyvern is a very common passive tame, as they are a very good beginners flying tame! They have a breath attack witch proves more affective when in water! It wears of similarly to the spinos! This breath attack does low damage but at a high rate of hits! Also as with every wyvern (that I know of has a knock back ability, this consumes stamina, but it will like the diplo push whatever is in front of it away at the cost of stamina! It’s bite attack is also powerful for a flying tame! All of the crystal wyverns are reasonably faster than any other map’s wyvern! Next is the blood wyvern! ; this has a special breath attack that steals health from any creatures that the attack hits, this will drain a lot of stamina, but will restore half of what was drained from the creature, to your wyvern! Making it a decent battle mount, this breath attack also makes a good use for pvp by easily locating enemy players by draining they’re health and dispatching them quickly! This probably won it be a begginers first wyvern as the passive tamable ones are difficult to find! Finnaly the Ember crystal wyvern!; these will do the most dmg! Happy taming and take care! :D
More Crystal Wyvern Taming & KO Tips
There are 3 variants of the crystal wyvern. The tropical one gets the hydrated buff( more damage, resistance etc) when standing in water like a spino. Even though it gets the buff in water it can’t swim and is found in the white shores area. The blood one breath steals the life force and heals while using it breath attack and is found in the forest with the red trees. The ember crystal wyvern is found in emberfall. It’s breath is more precise and can go further than the normal fire wyvern breath. The breath also has a rage meter with the more you use it the more damage it does. Eventually it will start to get blue flames in the mix. Hoped that helped you
Raising baby/eggs found
Only eat primal crystal while raising. And not notmal crystal or Raw meat or else.
Omg its the most easy baby you will raise
Its hatch and the food it already have can already last 1 day
On the next day i give it primal crystal until equal to HP, if you give more its wasted. Thats about it... maybe will need to give it food again a little bit before adult. But yea really i gave it 1-2 times primal crystal until reach same lvl of HP.
Seem to always want primal crystal when asked to imprint.
If you have cryopods, cryo it and throw it back and will ask something else.
Thats it 4days to adult.
Didnt need to cryo it while i go to sleep or else
It seem to consume 0.1 food each 10 sec or so, which is super slow and this is why it can last couples hours before first feed

MUST BE LVL 65 TO TAME ANY CRYSTAL WYVERN
Crystal wyvern easy passive tame. If server allows, run onto its back between the shoulders and feed it crystal in your last slot with [e]. On it's shoulders it will be less likely to drop you. Carry food and drink, have a flyer on follow if you can, and parachutes just in case.
If no one has used this tip or trick might find useful! When approaching one of these passive Wyverns. You can hop on it’s wing and back it to its back and literally ride it’s back while suppling it crystals. Make sure to have your bird on follow!! Make sure to spread this around.
This is going to be your all-in-one tip for crystal wyverns.
Firstly, the variants and where they can be found. Crystal Wyverns in general are only found in the crystal isles map.
Tropical Crystal Wyvern: probably one of, if not the top favorite here. It spawns in the beautiful southwest beaches (I’ve primarily found them on the most southwest island) and they look bright blue. They have a breath attack that spits water and does damage over time. Also, once tamed they get a hydrated buff when touching water much like a spin-off would. Which increases speed, making this the fastest wyvern. But also buffing damage, etc.
Blood Crystal Wyvern: A health stealing Wyvern which lives in the middle area of the map ( around 55, 33 ) you can tell if you are in the right place if there are red crystals in the biome. It’s only ability is it’s breath attack. It siphons health from the target. But other than that, nothing too special.
Ember Crystal Wyvern: found in the east area of the map in the areas rich with orange crystal and forest, these wyverns ability is that they are practically just like the normal fire Wyvern you would find on other maps, except it does more damage the more you use it.
How do you tame these?
Crystal Wyverns are a passive tame. Meaning you don’t knock them out ( but as you will see we still have to, if you are familiar with getting Wyvern milk then you will get it. )
They can be tamed with your normal crystal, found in abundance or primal crystal ( the much more preferred taming food. ) to retrieve primal crystal, you must knock out a crystal Wyvern (it can be any type and it can be a male or female) the higher the level the more primal crystal you will get once knocked out, you have to just interact with its unconscious body to retrieve them. Keep in mind these spoil in 40~ minutes and there is no way I know of to preserve them.I recommend a lvl 80ish because any higher and you will get too many crystals and they will spoil before you can use them, when I knocked a 140 out it gave me 26 crystal and I only tamed two before it spoiled. You can’t tame crystal Wyverns fully with normal crystal, you need at least some primal crystal, otherwise it won’t even tame. Unless its a low level on a boosted server.
To start the taming process. Simply approach the wyvern ( they won’t attack you unless you attack them unlike normal wyverns. ), then try and get on its back while it’s landed. It can be a bit weird but I’ve done it many times on official smalls. I think that jumping on the wing then moving up to the back works best. Go prone while your on the back. Make sure you have your crystal, and start taming. Feed it, and it will fly but since your on its back you will stay with it and you can still feed it in the air, if your on the ground you have to wait for it to land which could take a while, hence getting on the back (also it’s cool). Once you feed it the first time depending on the level, it will take along time for the second feed but be patient and after that it’s the easiest tame.
Extra things to note:
There are Heir Crystal Wyverns, these are Wyverns that are found in the desert in a cave and they are untamable, but if you head into the cave you can steal one of their eggs, like the classic method.
Lastly is the crystal Wyvern queen, the boss of crystal isles. It is one of the only boss arenas that lets you bring flyers.

For everyone wondering you must be a level 65 in order to tame these with either crystal or prime crystal. The way to get prime crystal is by knocking a crystal wyvern then pushing triangle or Y in order to get the prime.
You can actually tame the one that you took the crystals from
U can get the primal cristal by knocking them, once u knock them just pick it up from their back.
Best way to tame is to jump on its back and feed it, u'll get a free ride and an easy tame ( take a parachute in case )
So I did further testing and baby and juvenile Crystal wyverns eat 1 food every 1 minute and adolescent Crystal wyverns eat 1 food every 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Their are 1440 minutes in a day so baby and juvenile wyverns need 1440 food to make it 24 hours and adolescents Crystal wyverns need 576 food to make it 24 hours.
