Sit on the base of the neck and whatever you do, do not touch the left stick. I can caych any level given enough crytstal and fortitude.

When taming the tropical crystal wyvern, wait till it's landed on the ground, then walk onto it's back, stand between the wings and just feed it from there, that way you don't need a trap, or to wait for it to come back down after feeding it

You can climb on to their backs and you won’t fall off when it starts flying. Then just sit there and spam feed it and you have a free (minus some Crystal) Wyvern!

Bring parachutes just in case though.

Recently tamed my first crystal wyvern. Went to a premise trap, tranq’d an heir, took the crystal from its head, ran to despair it from the trap and repeated one more time to acquire enough prime crystal.

Turned to the tropical beach, Brought a crossbow and a grapple hook. Waited for the wyvern to land, jumped on its wing then shot it between the shoulder blades with the grapple hook. I’m on console so I pressed left trigger to give the grapple some slack in case I fell off and was able to feed it all the crystal needed.

Once it tames, I just pressed ‘y’ to ride it and left the area.

Idk know if this is still in the game but I encountered this a while ago through breading blood wyverns but if you get the color mutation 11 in the last slot and I think it was 57 on the 2nd to last it makes the wyverns wings super shiny to a point it’s difficult to look at.

Jump on its wings then on its back and lay down on its back and feed it crystal

Crystal wyverns DO NOT pick up turtles. Everything the crystal wyverns says it can pick up that is in fact the regular wyvern. It's reversed

ATTENTION! When it says wyvern heir you are only getting a normal one not an heir! ATTENTION!

They are like argues but faster they pick up everything an argy can

Note: You cannot attempt to KO while on the back of the wyvern. The wyvern just makes you slide off the back like a bronto on the back of a quetzal.

Use chain bolas, then shoot at it from a distance as they can still use their breath take primal crystals then either get away or kill it so it doesn't aggro on you

Higher level crystal wyverns give more prime crystals when slept. Use gates to trap and sleep. When taming you can grapple hook their back to avoid being clipped off while shoulder riding. Prime Crystal expires fast, so get it as quickly as possible before taming.

there are 3 different sub species of crystal wyvern

Tropical crystal wyvern: Breathes a water cannon attack that just does damage, and it can also get a hydrated stat buff when in water, can be found in the tropical forest area in crystal isles( bottom left )

Blood crystal wyvern: breathes a health draining ability that drains enemy health and gives it to you, can be found in the rocky crystal mountains( middle towards the left has big orange and red crystals )

Ember crystal wyvern: breaths a fire breath that does more damage the more you use it on one enemy, can be found in the forest volcano with the red trees around the base of the volcano you'll see it has small red Crystal's

Note: all type of crystal wyverns can also be found in egg form in the crystal wyverns cave in the desert area guarded by crystal wyvern heirs which are untamebale and also the only crystal wyvern which can exceed level 215+

It took me an hour to get primal crystal if ur raising a baby crystal wyvern start looking for crystal early and put them in its inventory the spoil time is around 5 and a half hours in the wyvern’s inventory

Go for embers before trips at wipe day

You can grapple hook em, and hold on until it is tamed.

Passive tame good

If you play with friends someone drive you feed, if you play alone Use a hook in it then feed it until tamed

Best beacons ever! I have a neon pink female named Harlot (don't look at me like that. She gets around) and the damn thing is way too bright to fly comfortably, but I haven't overshot my base once in the middle of the night since I parked her out front.
