Do not I repeat do not trap it in a trap. When it shoots you with its torpor slime and reflect them back to the Cryo, the slime will end up hitting a wall instead of the Cryo missing your shot and wasting your shields. When on hyper mode use this as your advantage as it will spit more slime at you. Using regular tranqs will kill it so keep that in mind.

All you need is 2 pillars, a nearby tree, or if someone has pillard or built close by you can use that. I use one prim riot shield and as as long as you don’t mess up you’ll be fine.

I stand behind the pillar when it breaths, and jump out with shield when it spits. It’ll usually do two breath cycles, then spit 4-5 times. On occasions it’ll only spit 2 times and then do 2 breath cycles.

It’s really a simple taming process. If you get frozen it will attack and it’s like a trodon it’ll knock you out then kill you, so stay behind the pillar when it breaths.

Use a shield and hold it up. when they shoot their torpor shot at you it’ll deflect and hit them. Do this until they knock out. When they do the freeze breath find cover until it’s over.

Ultimate taming guide:

1) Prepare yourself with shields (roit or metal), healing brews and a few pairs of armour and locate a cryolophosaurus around the snowy and hot spring biomes

2) Equip you armour and shields and deflect its spitting attack back to the cryolophosaurus (by blocking), when it does the spray even if you block you’ll still take damage hence the healing brews

3) These creatures have a high topor resistance so you’ll definitely be reflecting for a while which is why you need multiple shields and armour but after awhile it’ll go unconscious, feed it your standard kibble or meats

4) enjoy your cryolophosaurus (saddle at lvl 60)

Just use a good longneck with shocking tranq darts. Use owl to heal it once and g2g

Use 1 foundation with 1 wall, once cryo uses spray attack hide behind wall, once cryo uses spit attack then step out and reflect with shield....repeat till K.O

Using shocking darts is also effective with a good rifle

You don't need a metal or riot shield, wooden shield works just fine. Bring 2 wooden shields, a stack or 2 of wood, fiber and hide.

2 man tame is the best, trap it, l and have your friend heal it on a snow owl, tranq it till it’s out take a few crossbows or bio toxin darts

I use an unconventional way (Bat and Owl needed), they do not inflict torpor to other Cryolophosaurus. Get a level 5-10 and put stats in health (i used a bat to tame it). Find a high level, throw out Cryo dino. The wild Cryo will Aggro but not inflict torpor to yours. Sit back and shoot at the head with shocks for max efficiency. Using higher damage longnecks require the healing from the snow owl. I just knocked a 150 with 40 shocks.

Just use shocking darts to knock....,.

Don't go to city they ride these things lost my 1st snow owl after grinding for hours on saddle just to find out no fly zone n to die by ice n fire from these ridden 1s
