This thing is hard to miss as he emits a loud roar and one shot you with his strong jaws. Oh wait thats a giga-rex... oh well, whats the difference. Merk. ~Tundra

If you're unlucky a Compy might sneak through spike fences. It just happened to me - might have be a glitch or there might have been a gap in the spike wall. Look out for Compy sounds when taming!

I was lucky and only one came through. They're aggressive but they only attack you if there's more than one. Jumped on my flyer and lured it away.

Ounce upon a first day, a new player tamed a dodo. The new player was looking for a place to live, when, the new player ran into a bunch of compys! In the end, the new player and his dodo were soon dead. =.=

Annoying as heck

These little jerks. I was still a noob with a straw base and some dilos and a raptor. I went up a hill close to my base ( the closest mining spot around…TONS of ores!) and these li’l a**holes started attacking me and slamming me against a tree…there seemed to be thousands…I killed them and they just kept coming. Eventually I got the chance to run and I went up the hill into the forest and…well…I fell off a cliff. But a small one! And I survived. But those guys also survived and ALL of them chased me. Eventually I lost ‘‘em and reached a swamp-ish area. Not the one near the redwoods (I was on “the island”) but one just…smack dab in the middle of nowhere. I laughed at my victory!…but I had lost my way to home. I looked and looked. But alas…I lost it. Luckily I didn’t have any high loot with me on that mining hike. Because after a while I just built a campfire and sat there…until a sarco jumped behind me from nowhere at all and killed me. That’s my adventure of the day.

Most annoying thing is all of the universe to beginners.

You can easily outrun groups of them or you could walk backwards and stab them with a pike or spear to kill them
