I wish there was like an attachment like a camera or something attached to a tamed compy’s back. And you can control it and look around through the camera while using the compy to run around and look. I think that is a good way to scout a tribe I wish there was something like this in the game. The camera needs gasoline to be activated just needs to be put in the compy’s inventory.

Oh my god. Compys are so powerful. I spawned like 30 of them and went up in the air, spawned a wild Trex. When it landed, it roared, after it roared it was dead and not even there, the compys had eaten it. No one. Died.

Where’s its platform saddle wild card

Everyone says they’re useless, and tbh, they are.

For practical uses that is. Compy’s are the housecats of ark. Tame one and set it on wander inside your house and you have endless companionship. It’s dumb, and really impractical seeing as you probably have tons of other games to keep you company, but it’s still nice to see a tiny little dinosaur run around your home.

Oddly enough, this was the first creature I actually bred. After taming 1 male and 2 females, I decided to breed them and their surprisingly easy to breed. They can literally breed in a single triangle foundation. Although many consider them useless. If you find a beached Meg near a group of these guys, you can easily tame one. I will say this, They make great meat backpacks early game. To be quite honest out of all of ark creatures, the compy is more of a fun pet, that is small enough to fit in most places, and can pay the rent by giving you an egg every now and then. If you have alot of time on your hands you can breed them to fill your base and level health and attack to make a great indoor swarmed. The same can be done with the dilo, but compies take up significantly less space so you can pack more in there, and it's also worth mentioning that they hate sleeping, and wake up very very quickly so if your base is full of them, any kind of tranquilizer will be ineffective. At the end of the day, the compy is a pest, that can become a little pet that can fit anywhere. Not exactly the most useful critter, but they do the minimum. Fun fact the compy is the smallest theorpod dinosaur on the island, but despite what most people think they are not the smallest dinosaur and they aren't even the smallest theropod. The smallest Theropod was actually the troodontid anchiornis huxleyi which was a raptor thar weighed only 110 grams, was about a foot long, and was about 4-5 inches tall. To the guy that said something about a mini platform that would be cool because you could attach a camera

Breeding a high level compy army is a waste of your time so taming a metric f*ck ton is the way to go. Riding a slower animal while surrounded by your army feels pretty awesome and it's hilarious to whistle attack target on whatever irritates you.

Once tamed the Compy can be used as a shoulder mount; If set to follow and attack my target, when in battle it will sound an alarm and occasionally attack the enemy.
