(sorry for yelling, I’m just mad that my lvl 41 Sarco died to 5 Pirahnas)
I’ll be honest, if you’re a starter with something that can kill a Stego, go for it! Their super cute and.. pretty much that’s all the then. pretty much it. But hey, I named mine doggo and now I have a level 112 compy running happily around my base! It’s definitely worth it if you wanna tame something.
They hunt you down and only attack you no matter what.
They quickly lose interest when you go into the water
Pretty easy tame here how to tame these cuties
Step one: find prime meat ( I recommend prime fish meat)
Step two: find compy and knock it out ( using tranq's are Easter)
Step three: put the prime in inventory
Step four : I tamed a compy congratulations
When approaching this beast be careful three of these MONSTERS could break your cloth armor get a tranq bolt, arrow, or even dart then shoot it in the head "WARNING IT MIGHT GO THREW ITS HEAD WITCH COULD BE DISTURBING TO SCERTAN PLAYERS" after one shot it should go asleep but its health will be low feed it any meat one or two pieces should do it once its tamed put it on your shoulder and it will help you kill stuff but dont get to attached to it it will probably die within the first 10 days of having it "in game days"
NOW YOU KNOW HOW TO TAME A COMPASAUROS!
You want a camera and a costume, right? When I learn how to update ark I’ll give you costumes and cameras.
Make sure, throw it onto the compy or put it in the inventory and put it in the section that says: Runner
Use a torch sets them on fire also too expensive to tame
So apparently...i was on gen 2, trying to tame a compy for like 10 mins......i was using normal meat..I DIDNT KNOW IT DIDNT EAT NORMAL MEAT..AHHHHHH!
Even tho they can kill someone's literal pet they are actually easy to kill
Do do do do do... just walking along a beach, looking for a ichthy, hoping the megalodon isn’t still there... important thinking, right? See some compies... curse those annoying brats. They are the easiest kill, and I’m hearing they need PRIME MEAT for a tame?! They’d get killed in any battle they fought, so why such a hard tame?
Are you telling me I have to go through a process that will take like, a week just to tame a small dinosaur who could get killed in 5 minutes?
Like how mobile has growble and shrinkable dodos there should be shrinkable and growable compys
I personally call them land demons. My advice is to take your dilophosaurs!
Absolutely love these little gremlins. They like to come ip to you and stare at you for a moment, then attack when the pack is assembled. THEY ONLY EAT REALLY QUALITY MEAT! Also, the babies are, like, microscopic, so I’ve had several cases of one escaling out the door and never seeing it again (then getting a “Coraline, Lv. 6 (Compy) died!” notice a few minutes later :(), so if you must breed them, make sure you have TONS of prime meat (which spoils VERY FAST) and make sure the babies stay in a secure location because they are FAST. My favorite thing to do is have a pack of, like, 20 folowing me around and watch as they take down a Raptor nearly effortlessly. Hilarious (also, VENGEANCE >:)).
Trap it in a building or something like that while you get you're prime meat, come back, KO the mf, boom you got a shoulder mount.
Although their small stats may make you heavily underestimate them, don't be fooled. These little guys rely on confusing you, and are very small and hard to hit. In high leveled groups with lots of members, they can be extremely deadly early game. For dealing with the annoying groups, just use a torch. If you cannot beat them, and they are overpowering you, I can help. A strategy I've found works is probing (default key X) under a large creature with a neutral temperature, preferably a herbivore with a large hitbox on its body and attacks (a Triceratops would be perfect). This may result in you being hit, but the Trike will kill off all the Compies, giving you time to run, or collect their spoils.
