Although their small stats may make you heavily underestimate them, don't be fooled. These little guys rely on confusing you, and are very small and hard to hit. In high leveled groups with lots of members, they can be extremely deadly early game. For dealing with the annoying groups, just use a torch. If you cannot beat them, and they are overpowering you, I can help. A strategy I've found works is probing (default key X) under a large creature with a neutral temperature, preferably a herbivore with a large hitbox on its body and attacks (a Triceratops would be perfect). This may result in you being hit, but the Trike will kill off all the Compies, giving you time to run, or collect their spoils.

If your gonna tame any at all then at least tame a pack of 5 or more compys

I know there are a lot of thing that say there useless but they are not if you label their health and damage enough they can be killing machines

Got SOOO annoying over by the area on the island where the west coast and the southern jungle meet. They travel in packs most of the time. The worst place to encounter at is the rocky areas. If your character is getting damaged and you don't know what it is, look down and around your legs, there possibly will be a pack of four or less. They run off when they are damaged to where they are at 30 health or less, then they come back, so you have to pay attention to where they run off to. You don't want to encounter a group of them if you're already at low health, trust me.

So if ya'll didn't know compies are supposed to have venom that puts you to sleep so we lucky they didn't ad that to the game. And compies are curious and friendly like itchyosuarus but when they group up they get aggro you know like mean girls.

The compy is a small, cute shoulder-mount creature. The compy is very weak, but a good shoulder-mount for a noob. They usually come in packs of 3, but sometimes come as loners. TAMING: you will need: 1X fists, 15X raw mutton. First, find a compy. If it’s in a group, kill the other two. Next, use your fists to KO your compy. Once KO, put the raw mutton into the compy’s inventory and click “feed”. And once it wakes up, bam! You have a compy!

For those on switch or mobile, their kibble can tame Kentrosuars

I got a mate boosted pair to follow me into my taming pen, then I went and killed paracers to get prime and ran back to the pen. One tranq to each and throw prime and a couple narcotics on them. Easy that way

If ur lazy just breed dilos and kill the baby u will get 3 prime meat but before trap the compy u got a compy

Step 2:lure it to a high level neutral creature

step 3:wait them kill it

step 4:take its prime meat

step 5:knock a compy

step 6:feed it prime meat
