Better off just killing them as soon as you see them. Free pelt, and leaves room for more giant beaver dams to spawn.

1 get tranq arrows

2 get cross bow

3 place inside crossbow

4 knock it out

5 feed veggies , kibble , or megoberry

6 name it whatever you want

If it is alpha, shoot it with a crossbow and escape. If it’s a pack, kill all of them (or just the males or just females) but make sure, kill the alpha because he is the leader

Tame by tranq arrows, fed raw meat.

When equipped a saddle it becomes a smithy 😱😂

Why has nobody thought of this, tranq arrows/darts obviously are used to knock Dino’s out, but for the first time I am using it to keep creatures knocked out, my castroid was below 190 torpor, and it filled the 350 torpor completely, I still do not know exactly how much torpor it does to different creatures, but I know 100% sure that it does well over 150 torpor to them, so to the players saying, “I for some reason keep crafting tranq arrows/darts and have 10000s, but do not have bio toxins etc. you can just shoot the creature if it has a high enough health pool. Very useful for Castroids, which decimate any torpor increasing things. I would use method on Giga because it would only take out like 20 health (40 on castroids) and the have a lot and drain torpor.

If you come across a dam kill them first they chase you very far from dam

These are great sources of silica pearl.... I got 53 from 1 dam.... Don't take everything left some wood so the dam doesn't breaks... U won't be attacked and u will have lots of silica pearls and cementing paste... Like if it helped

The stuff inside the dams isn’t the best if you really want to kill them just get sarco and there all cooked

befor you craft a tek replicator just for a tek saddle dont they will craft on just as well

I saw a tip that claimed you can carry the wild beaver and drop it into waters near you and it will make dams there.. if that is true that’s one nword of a tip. It goes hand-in-hand with one method that I use with the beaver.

I load up a rifle with regular tranq darts. I knocked the beavers out while they’re in deep waters so that they’re insulated and protected by the water so no other creatures go and murder them…. Then I raid the dams.. It works really well… I’ve just been too lazy to build a stone box around the knocked out Beaver..

But if you can carry a wild beaver to your water hole, knock him out, build a stone isolation pen for him…. You’re set… in theory.. at least in PVE.
