Take the beaver to the swamp and eat the swamp trees to gather more thatch than wood. Not as good as the Rhino or the Moose, but still efficient.

Tamed casteroids are one of the best wood getters. The most effective way is to hold it with a argy and go flying in a forest. The casteroid will get wood by itself. They can also be used as a better smithy if u pump their weight bc there is no slot limit so u can fit more stuff in it. It is also mobile which is great bc u can't pick up vanilla ark smithys in addition they also lower the weight of wood in their inventory making able to carry more. Also in the wild they are neutral unless u raid their damns which are great for getting rare flowers, cementing paste, silica pearls, and wood in which case they will attack u.

Real ones tame it with dried wheat

I put them to sleep and steal dam stuff.

Then they will restore if after a bit of time. Also if you set them to wander after taming will make dams again.

To tame it’s easy

1.get a swim mount or something like that to be fast

2.Find a lake or river they spawn in

3.find a beaver dam and take the cementing paste out it’s something you may need later and the other stuff slows you down

4. Go to a sallow area or on land to see the beavers coming

5. If there’s like one or 3 you stay but if there’s more run or try to kill low levs

6.shot with narco crossbow or tranq darts at the one you want and you’ll the ones you don’t want

7.put mejo berrys or better food in it’s inventory

8. You now have a beaver

Beware, beavers oddly do a lot of damage and most can one or two hit you.

Would be best to tame with a crap ton of narcoberries. Save for Narcotics for something else.

If you think you can just take their stuff and not get away with boyyyyy have you got a rough time ahead of you. Enjoy a billion Beavers ripping you you to shreds.

Plus they give pelt and are good for xp because they infinetly spawn, use rex or argy, so you can kill or grab and kill with argy

u need the saddle to gather wood with it, or u can just kill him and raid his dams

Use bola nad use a club and get many bio toxin if ur going to use mejo berries and get narco if ur goin to use vegetable

So just if you don’t know you need saber tooth salmon to tame these things. 1 find one 2. Kill salmon 3. drag to castoroises 4. Tame.

Forget Triceratops this is the best Narcoberry collector.

They should have a tlc that allows you to turn it into a dam, like the giant bees.

Don't bother taming unless you have kibble. Or just don't bother taming. They're slow, useless in battle and have low health.

They get stuck on the smallest of rocks when following you and require a rediculius 100 metal bars for the saddle. If you want something to dominate the rivers, get a Sarco.
