Castoroides are dangerous up close and become aggressive when their dams are disturbed, so avoid fighting them in water or against groups. Bola them when possible, then attack from a safe distance with a crossbow or bow and finish with a strong melee weapon while wearing solid armor. If several are nearby, lure them away individually or use a powerful mount rather than engaging the whole group.
