Be aware they are normaly found in groups so target one that is away from the rest

If you want to get a lot of pelt, make your base by the hidden lake on the Island, you can look up coords. Beavers spawn there, then harvest their bodies with pick. Don't worry about overhunting they just spawn again. And free dams.

Bring atleast double the recommended amount of narcotic items, trust me

Phenomenal tames. Excellent wood gatherers and I would put them up against the Bronto or Steg for berry gathering, especially for smaller tribes. They don't gather as much per attack as either of the above, but they are orders of magnitude faster. Can zip around spamming attack and be at you weight limit in berries in no time.

Built our base on The Center right next to a pond with our trough just out of range. Tamed a couple of the beavers (named Sharon Stone and Wynonna because I dare you to come up with two better beaver names) for berry and wood gathering. Still get spawns and 3 to 5 dams. Never ending supply of cementing paste, silica pearls, rare flowers, mushrooms and more wood than we know what to do with.

If you wanna tame theese guys, make sure you have tranq arrow berries or crops. shoot them with a bow or cross bow on a rock or something until unconcios because ive seen theese guys kill a sarco, feed it berries or crops OR kibble. And you have a beaver! (i think ;))))) )

Good at plants (Trees, Bushes, Etc.)

Can also passive harvest.

BOLAS, bolas make the knocking out part very easy simply throw it on them get behind them and then smack them with a bat, But make sure you have a lot of biotoxin because they’re unconsciousness go down at an insane rate

If you are hunting these dudes shoot it from far away then when it gets close use a pike to finish it off I suggest you have good armor and a crossbow

I found a level 16 for my pursuit to tame one. 2 Galli kibble and 10 (probably overkill) did the trick, took 2-3 minutes. 2-3 tranq darts will knock it out easily, just wait a second or two inbetween shots. Best wood gatherer, do not listen to anyone else. Also I've heard it can be a mobile smithy.

I was just sailing around on my newly built raft when I came across a beaver dam I look inside don’t take anything and two seconds later on beaver is mauling me I ran inside my raft closed the door look out the window think I’m safe then the beaver starts attacking me through the floor so I start to sail away go to a different part of the island to chop some trees then I see the beaver is back and is pissed we fight I win but I go back to my raft and it’s half gone. DO NOT mess with these guys they will hunt you down like the guy from Taken.

It took an hour to tame ONE! ONE I SAY! It took 69 tranqs and a few games dying. Pls like in memory of baby paraceraithium

If you want a dam farm builde a 8×8 stone doorframe trap and put in 2+ beaver and then you have a beaver dam farm (you can get rare mushrooms/flower wood cement paste and silica pearl)

If u move a wild 1 away from spawn an put in trap they will build more dams currently got 4 wild 1s in trap around every 30 minute to hour there's a new dam collect the stuff wait an pops up another couple of dams

On Ark Mobile, they will even build dams on land far away from water and without a fence/pen. I used an argy to carry wild ones from a distant area to an area near my base. I now have over 20 wild ones wandering around making dams all over.

You could capture wild castoroides and put them in damming pens, and if you do, put them in half water half land pens. They will dam better like that. If you put more beavers in the same pen, they will, again, dam faster. This makes a good cementing paste farm, but will also give wood, silica pearls, rare flowers, and rare mushrooms. This is quite a bit of work though. If you're not into it or don't have enough resources or a good bird, you could just find an area( most likely in or near water) that beavers are around and passively build dams. When you check them, destroy them. Resources don't respawn in the same dam they already were in to the best of my knowledge. P.S. If you tame a beaver, there is no way to let build a dam ( I've tried ?)

These creatures are found usually in packs, I would suggest picking it up with an argy or queztal then bringing it back to your base and taming it.

They don't swim after taming. Mine drowned.

Insane for combat early game. I wasn’t paying attention and got jumped by a tickle chicken and started screaming. Steroids, Marcus, and Woody choppa came to the rescue and whooped that tickle chicken. They fear us to this day.
