Always use kibble! I tamed a level 150 with pure mejoberries... Had some carrots too, it was an entire afternoon of checking it's torpor. It's nice and all but it doesn't have too good weight. I would get 1000-2000 wood and go back to base fairly unsatisfied. I use mammoths now since they can defend themselves, gather berries as well and hold a TON of wood. I'd rather collect less but hold more than collect more and hold lesd since that just means less trips back to base and a more fullfilling trip each time.

Do not leave unattended the torpor goes down at a monsterous rate
In Ascended, if you see a high-level female beaver and have an Argy, Rhynio, or any other carrying flier, TAKE IT and drop it in a 2x2 or 2x3 stone taming pen, only 1 wall high. When you leave the area, she’ll spawn beaver babies at her same level (If she already has beaver babies in the wild, they’ll chase after her I believe. Just don’t let them get swallowed up!) Now I have a lvl 100 beaver mom ready for taming, and her three lvl 100 baby beavers will be claimable after she’s tamed!
Strong as hell, especially in packs. Don't put such nice things in your dam if you don't want me to raid it. Jerks.
There is in fact a slot limit! All dinos have 300 slots available
Why is everyone saying to build a trap? Like come on! Just bola it and shoot with tranq darts!!!
Taming these takes so ‘dam’ long
Step 1 find a dam
Step 2 grab all the cementing paste ( useful for later )
Step 3 trap or take castaroides with argenttavis or a trap
Step 4 knock unconscious and feed
Step 5 use the cementing paste and other materials for saddle
Step 6 tame and ride
Step 7 hit a tree and get tons-o-wood
