I think you should go to their dam and check around, if there aren't any too close just take the stuff hop on a flyer and send it
Who else thinks that these should be able to build wooden spike walls and dams when tamed?
They know longer cut the weight of wood by 1/4. They reduced it to 1/2.
If you carry a wild Castoroides and put it in your waters it will make its own dam. Easy materials in bulk!
Eassyy wood hack, build a triangular pen with 3 STONE dino dino gateway and reinforced doors on each of them( make sure they are stone so as to take zero damage from beaver raging)
lead beavers into them (personally I used a argy to carry them in), and wah lah free wood and precious resource once in awhile
Make sure u leave enough space for u to fit thru to access its nest.
DO NOT TAME THEM, tamed beavers don’t produce nests
The wild beavers don’t have to be near a water body to produce nest btw, I have 2 wild beavers trapped on a hill far from river and they still produce fine.
To get stuff frot their dams place a sleeping bag, transfer the whole dam inventory then let them kill you. After respawning retake your stuff again, they dont attack you anymore.
Thumb up pls,for help.
Not about the beaver
Who else thinks that there should be a giant platypus In ark
The most versatile tame I can think of. Personally I have used the Castoroides for the following things:
-raid wild beaver dams (cuz they have weight reduction for wood found in the dams)
-explore the oceans
-gather underwater oil (by swimming down to them and holding a pickaxe without dismounting)
-run the lower south cave (for chitin, metal, obsidian, crystal, and the artifact)
These guys can collect wood for you when put to "wander" And a lot in that. Wild beaver build beaver dams, so don't kill one in the wild. Just look for a nearby dam, loot it and run for life (beaver dams have valuable and rare resources in them)
This creature has a bonus where all wood placed on him will way significantly less. So Pitt all your wood on him
