This is the FASTEST way to tame a Carno…

Step 1: Find XP notes and ONLY upgrade movement speed

Step 2: Find Carno and make sure u at least have a bow and tranq arrows

Step 3: Shoot the Carno and once it gets too close for comfort run only a little bit turn around and shooting repeat the process over and over until it starts running and now chase it down and keep shooting until unconscious feed it meat because it’s a carnivore and boom u have a Carno

PS: U can use the same idea for Rexs Theris Dire Bears Dire wolves Raptors etc

I've developed a method for taking out these beasties whilst you (and, hopefully, the carno) are still in the lower levels. Grab yourself a bow and a few handfuls of tranq arrows, and then play a game of 'catch me if you can' with your foe. (Hopping up on rocks, running in a zig-zag pattern, and taking advantage of tree trunks works well for me.) As you're running and dodging, lob as many arrows as you can into the beastie's snout. Fair warning: you're going to get bit. But a dozen or so arrows later, the tables will turn, and the Carno will attempt to make a run for it. At this point, just trail behind and wait for them to drop. Voila! Either dispatch or domesticate the fallen fiend. I don't know how many I've ended in this fashion, but enough to have faith in the functionality. The highest level Carno that I've taken out with this sprint-and-shoot method was only about a 30, however. Of course, this'll become redundant once you become powerful enough to take one head-on.

The carno's drops aren't very good so try to tame it.

If you find it on a beach, get as far as you can in the water without swimming, then use crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. When it runs, still fill fill it up with tranquilizer arrows.

When I first encountered a carno I had a lucky escape.it attacked from behind and sent me flying and I did not know what hit me but I ran until I fell of a cliff the carno followed and got stuck so get them stuck.

This creature is often overlooked as people who want power Tame Rexes and people who want speed tame allos

this creature is probably the cave mount anyone could ask for: it’s fits in to 6/7 cave (exception cave of the sky lord) and is powerful enough to take every creature in that cave. (Not true for the ice cave)

How to tame a Carno. Number 1, get regular kibble (if you have any), some narcos, Tranq arrows, crossbow, Four stone foundations, 8 stone door frame, and 2 wooden ramps. Number 2, Set up the trap, and lead the carno to the trap. Number 3, Knock it out until knocked out and feed it regular kibble or raw prime meat or raw meat. Make sure to secure the area. And boom! Carno tamed. Good for traveling.

You will need 24 stone door frames or 16 I was building a rex trap until I realized it was to small, 4 stone foundation 6 wooden ramps or 4, 20-30 narcotics, Tranq arrows or darts, a flying creature to ride and then lead it into the trap. Feed it meat or kibble and bam u have yourself a carno.

When you encounter a wild Carnotaurus in or near a forest, walk towards him, so that he is between you and the trees. He will go away from you to attack you with his charge run attack. By doing so he has a high chance of getting stuck between the trees. Now you can knock him out savely. But remember to chop down the trees when he is knocked out, because when he is tamed he will start running and bugging when the trees are still there.
