Chapter Fifteen
The Gigantapithecus’s stormed the city taking every barrel of spice they could find. The animals watched in shock as the Gigantapithecus’s ran away with the spices. Then Buddy felt a long sharp pain in his chest. It felt like he had been stabbed through with a spear. His eyes went blurry and his feet felt weak. “Buddy are you okay?” Buddy heard Dawn ask as his vision went pitch black.
Buddy opened his eyes. He was laying on something comfy. Buddy stood up and saw that he was laying on a grey bed. He walked towards the door of the room. Buddy nudged it open and walked outside. He needed fresh air. Buddy sat down in front of the hole in the battlements. Maybe he could just sleep out here, maybe… “You okay brother?” Someone said. Buddy jerked up to see the squirrel sitting next too him. “Who are you?” Buddy asked. “Steve ‘loopy’ Buckleshoot, I don’t know why my friends made that nickname up, I don’t know what it means. I was one of the many lucky creatures chosen by Dr. John ‘Yang’ Cazador, too guard this wall from invaders!” The squirrel said bravely. “He volunteered.” Said a nearby Carnotaurus. “I did no—” Steve started too say but was interrupted by a Pink Mammoth walking by. “Lollipop! I have the perfect place too dine together!” Steve said while smoothing down his fur. The mammoth scoffed. “I don’t dine with loopy people!” Lollipop said. “Hey! That’s my nickname!” Steve said happily as he bounded after Lollipop. “What’s up with them?” Buddy asked the Carnotaurus. “Steve wants too marry Lollipop.” The Carnotaurus said disgusted. “Oh…” Buddy sighed. “CROSSBREEDING!” The Carnotaurus coughed. “You okay? I’m sure Mrs. Kong has a lozenge you can have.” Buddy asked concerned. “No I’m fine.” The Carnotaurus said. “I don’t think I’ve seen you before, you new here?” The Carnotaurus asked. “Yeah I guess I am new.” Buddy sighed. “My name is Cusco Acantilido. My parents always said I was destined for greatness. And falling off cliffs. I didn’t know what the Cliff thing meant ‘till I started studying Spanish. Anyway what’s your name?” The Carnotaurus asked. “My friends call me Buddy.” Buddy said blandly. “Buddy? Hmm… I’ve never heard that one before. Have you met Dr. Yang yet?” Cusco asked. “Not too my knowledge.” Buddy said. “I’ll take you too see him in the morning.” Cusco said. “Thanks… Mr. Acantilido.” Buddy said slowly.
That’s it for chapter fifteen! Next chapter in Carnotaurus!

When in servers some players use carchas to both attack and raid your base. But I have a solution. One time I thought you could tame the carch by making its torpor go up. Boy I was wrong, and I gave it many stimulants and simberrys but the torpor was not going down as fast, so I wondered "what if instead of attacking a carch raider, how about I make it unconscious." Also the torpor drain is very slow and the torpor is 20k or more so use tranq arrows, darts etc

-Chapter 20-
The sky darkened into beautiful colors as the sun slowly fell behind the mountains. Forest, Spark, Crimson and Rust had reached the edge of the dark forest, on a small cliff above the swamp.
Forest had told Crimaon everything about his time in the caves, meeting the basilisk, and all afterwards, right up to the point of meeting Rust. Crimson found it highly unlikely that THEY we’re destined for anything special, but then again, so did Forest.
Spark believed Forest that he met the basilisk. Rust said Forest was very lucky, because he had heard that there was only a few left in existence, and many legends were told about them having future-holding powers.
And now the four were all sitting by a fire, which Rust and Forest had worked hard to get going. Red flickeres of light dances acrossed their faces as they all watched the sunset together.
“It’s so pretty,” Forest said. He couldn’t get over the fact that ever time he saw one since the day he left the Drake Caves, they always happened to amaze him. This one had purple! AND pink! Strips of orange melted acrossed the mountains, like the fire right before them as it waved and popped little sparks in the air.
“It is pretty,” Spark agreed. She loooked down to the fire. “Me and my brother would watch them all the time together. Before… I mean… ah, forget it.”
“No, tell us,” Forest said. “ I’ve told you all my story.”
“Alright,” Spark said. “Me, my brother lived near the beach, somewhere north of here. Our parents had left us when we were so young… I don’t even remember what they looked like. Brother had always said, ‘they left because they didn’t care.’ But I had thought, they must have cared, because they let us live. But,” she looked to the others, taking a deep breath. “But it’s a Carno thing anyway. We usually leaves our baby’s to fend for themselves. But me and brother… we didn’t want to be like that.
And then he left. One day he had turned to me and said, ‘I’m sorry, sister. I can’t be here any longer. I’m going to go find a life of my own. And you can too.’”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Forest set his tail on hers.
Spark turned to him, flames reflecting in her eyes.
“It’s fine.” She said.
Crimson squinted, thinking. “Huh.”
“How about you, Rust?” Spark asked.
“Me?”
“Yeah,” Forest agreed. “Tell us about your life!”
“OK,” Rust said. He ruffled his feathers, clearing his throat. “Me and my mom lived together, right by the swamp, not too far from here, actually. Me and her. We did everything together. And I mean everything! Since father banned her when I was still an egg, we didn’t care less about him. We stole food, ran back home and ate together, telling ridiculous stories we made up in our head. Mother was… really great.
And one day, a few months ago, Mother had kinda… well… pushed me from the meat, you could say. She’d told me I could make a choice. Stay there, with her, forever, or leave and live my life a real deinonychus. Adventure the world, see what freedom feels like.” He smiled. “And I AM free. Free from certain vengeful Kapros, in fact.”
Crimson rolled her eyes. “I would be so justified to push you off this cliff right now.”
“I get that a lot,” Rust said, nodding.
“Alright,” Crimson barked. “My turn. I lived in the Swamp, which you all know. Now, fun fact: I know the name of every Kapro in the Swamp, because turns out every one of us are somehow related.”
“WHAT?” Rust shrieked. Forests mouth dropped.
“Yeah.” Said Crimson. “And whenever a new Kapro moves in, BAM, my twice-removed second cousin’s daughters got a wife. And then more baby Kapros!”
Spark had the weirdest face on. Her snout was all scrunched up and her eyes were wide. “I know,” Crimson said. “But that’s why we have such affective hunting all the time. Any Kapro in the area joins in to help their relative hunt. It’s really great, but gets super boring and claustrophobic. There’s not a single relative I enjoy, since my parents are dead.”
“Oh,” Forest said.
“Don’t get sappy,” Crimson snapped at him.
“I think we’re gonna be good friends!” Rust offered.
“Me too,” said Forest. Spark and Crimson both glanced at each other. “Me too.” Spark agreed. “Sure,” Crimson sighed.
“Tag!” Rust exclaimed, poking Forest with one claw. he jumped up to leap out of the way, laughing. Forest turned, grinning, and ran for Crimson.
“Your all a bunch of babies,” Crimson scolded, standing up. “We are all too old to be playing—ack!” Forest leaped towards her, and tapped her with his tail. “You’re it, Crimson.”
“Rrrrrgh FINE!” Crimson jumped forward, chasing Spark and Rust in circles around the fire. Smiles were sliding acrossed everyone’s face.
Forest laughed, running in loops around the others. We will be friends, he thought as he was tagged by Spark.
And we’ve got a world to save, too.
Story time.
I was playing single player on the Center. I was trying to challenge myself so I decided that I wouldn't tame any flyers. I also decided that I wouldn't watch any videos about or on the map, since it was one of the few maps that I didn't know much about. I wanted to discover everything on my own. Not having flyers and not knowing resource and base locations made my progression a lot slower than usual, but I eventually made a base right across from the skull island, near that hill with a lot of metal and Crystal. My first half-decent tame was a level 90 Carno. This became my main traveling mount and my escort for the times that I was bringing metal down the mountain on my parasaur. I found a level 150 carno later when I was coming back from taming a sarco, but I didn't have everything that I needed to tame it so I went back to my base to make some more darts and a trap, but when I came back to the spot, the carno was gone. There wasn't much else in the area besides herbivores, and there was no body, so I am not sure what happened. We'll anyway, I kept exploring on my carno, and found a few cave entrances in the area. I wanted to go in on an imprinted and possibly mutated carno so that made me want to find a high level even more. One time I was exploring the edge of several islands with my sarco, and I came to the half volcano island with a bunch of carnos, so that made me take a closer look. But it wasn't the carnos that made me most excited. At the edge of the island I saw a level 140 carcharodontosaurus. I haven't ever tamed one but I have seen a few videos, and decided that right now the safest option to tame this would be to make a two sided trap with a behemoth gate between the sides. Trap the carch in one side and gain its trust then throw a cryo-sick creature (I chose brontos) out in the other side, unclain the bronto and kill it with the carch and repeat. So I went back to my base and started preparing.I already had one decent level bronto that I kept a temporary smelting base on for longer trips up the mountain. I used that to farm and smelt enough metal to make the gates for the trap( which is a lot harder to do without argies). Then I found another bronto to breed with and began the process of gathering 18 brontos with high health to feed to the Carch. I finished this whole process over several days, and when I finally finished I went back to the island and the carch was gone. Now with a carno, something could have killed that, but a Carch? I have noticed that on the Center, a lot of creatures end up under the map, so since creatures have disappeared on me twice I am wondering if that is how it happened. Anyway that I'd how I put hours of work preparing to tame a creature that just disappeared. That's Ark for ya.
I genuinely love this dinosaur. Taming it was very easy just trap it with and feed it a baby Rex. When I got my first carch it had horrible damage but I wasn’t disappointed because it was just such a cool dinosaur. Recently I’ve leveled it a ton and now it hits like a truck. You should definitely tame one as soon as you can
So I found a level 150 Carch chilling on the mountain, eating random dinos. I tried to tame it, because I have female and male high level rexes, so i bred them and cryoed the baby. When i came back there i saw the Carch fighting a frikin Giga. Lucky for the Carch, Giga was low lvl. I trapped the Carch and gave it the baby rex. I killed some other dinos around and tamed it, then brought it to my redwood base. I saw a lower level Carcha on that mountain so I also tamed it. I was happy i got a male and female, so I just bred them until i got a lvl 946 Carch :)
Journey Through All Creatures:
Chapter 6: The Carcha Incident
Story starts in Achantina, The Island ABC order, and has a Prologue. Last chapter in Brontosaurus, next chapter in Ceratosaurus
Sodden was walking out the back door of his base, with a saddle in his hands. He saw his new pteranodon right in front of him. Sodden had gone killing turtles for a pteranodon saddle, and he put the saddle on. He had a ton of arrows in his bag, so much it was hard for him to run with it. He had meat and water jars in his bag, which was weighing him down. “I hope they’ll let me use one of their creatures,” he said, as he climbed onto his pteranodon and took off. He flew towards the nearest mountain, Far’s Peak. Sodden directed his pteranodon to the back of the mountain, going down to the shore leading to Dead Island. He set his pteranodon down near the base of the mountain, then Sodden started hiking up the slopes. “I think I saw a Carcha here a few days ago.” he thought to himself. He rose from the side of the mountain, approaching the top, when he gasped. “The Carcha should be around here… oh, no.” Sodden said. He saw tall walls, and behind them was a very tall castle, stretching to the top of the Ark. He had wandered into C Tribe’s territory. He snuck to the back of the walls, and ran to the top of the mountain, only to see a small group of survivors at the top. One of them turned and saw Sodden. “Oh… look who it is. You’re the one going for all creatures, right?’ The person said. “Uh… yeah. I was up here for a Carcha.” Sodden said. “Well, it’s just over the peak of this mountain. But this place isn’t very safe. C Tribe’s base is right here.” The person said. “Are you with them?” Sodden said. The person laughed. “Oh, don’t worry. We aren’t with them. It wouldn’t be safe for me to ally with you if I was. Speaking of ally, I hear someone from the tribe is with you.” The person said. “Uh, yeah. She’s been taken over by the C tribe. She’s one of the leaders.” Sodden said. “Serenity! Oh, my god. She’s lucky to be with you. I heard Terad found out her memories were back, but only suspected she was with you only to help you kill all the creatures.” The person exclaimed. “Yeah. I heard that. Did you know her before she got captured?” Sodden said. “Yes. She was with us. Until C Tribe took her away. I heard that you’re… well, you know.” The person said. “Wow. Uh… what’s your name?” Sodden asked. “The name’s Rod. These are my buddies, Nesan and Dundo.” The person replied. Sodden turned to the others. “Hi, guys. Nice to meet you.’ Sodden said. “Yeah. You too. You said you wanted the Carcha down?” Nesan asked. “Yes. You have anything for me?” Sodden replied. “Not much. The dude’s related to Death, so we’d need some strong tames.” Rod said. Sodden looked over the peak and gasped in shock. “Uh… guys? Where’s the Carcha?” Sodden asked. “What you mean? It’s right… oh, god.” Dundo said as he walked to Sodden and looked over the edge to see nothing. “What? The Carcha was right there!” Rod yelled. Then Sodden got a red blare on his implant, and a message saying, “You have entered a dangerous area!” “Oh, god. That means the Carcha is very close. It must have moved.” Nesan said. Sodden ran around the place, looking for the Carcha, until he saw it stomping around the walls of C tribe’s base. “What? Oh, god. He’d better not destroy the walls.” Sodden said. He took out a crossbow, but the Carcha already started tearing down the walls. “Hey! There’s a easier meal for you up here!” Sodden yelled as he waved his hands in the air. The Carcha looked back and saw Sodden waving his hands. “Hey! Come over here.” He yelled. He shot the Carcha once but the Carcha didn’t even move. He kept biting the walls. Then suddenly, they heard a loud BLARE!
The tribe leaders sat in the main meeting room at the front entrance, and Terad was in front of them. “A wild Carcha is attacking my base! Why were there no turrets?” Terad said. Everyone shrugged. “Someone was supposed to install turrets! That’s it. All of you, do not move. I’ll handle this.” Terad sneered. He stormed out of the front entrance then threw a cryopod at the ground, and a Giga came out. It looked down at Terad. “We need to handle that Carcha now.” Terad said. He climbed onto the Giga and walked towards the back of the base, then saw the Carcha feasting on a dino corpse. “Yeah. Come with me, and I’ll get you. I got more… oh, god.” The person said as he dropped the second corpse. There was a pile of corpses next to him. Terad made a angry face. “You stupid… did you lead the guy to my base?” He growled as he stormed to Sodden slowly. “What… of course not. He wandered here himself! If I had done it, the turrets would’ve dealt with me in seconds.” Sodden said. Terad didn’t respond. He was still upset. “Just get the Carcha out of my base.” Terad growled. Sodden ran in the opposite direction, luring the Carcha down. Then someone ran to the Giga. He tapped the Giga on the leg. “Uh… sir, there’s another Carcha on our premises. A tamed one this time. It’s not part of our tribe.” The person said. Terad didn’t respond. He froze for seconds, then walked around the castle. He got to the base of the mountain, and saw a Carcha army walking to the base. “What? Who is this!?” Terad screamed.
Sodden had the Carcha off the base of the mountain after 10 minutes. He left the remaining meat besides the Carcha and was about to start walking back to base when someone tapped him on the shoulder. “Sodden… something’s wrong.” The person said. Sodden turned and saw Serenity standing there. “What? What’s going on?” Sodden said. “There’s a unknown tribe attacking our base.” Serenity said. “What!?” Sodden yelled in shock. “We don’t know why. But they are, and clearly, they hate the leaders of our tribe.” Serenity said. He looked behind Sodden to see a Carcharodontosaurus eating the pile of meat. “Actually… I might need this guy. I’m not letting that tribe hurt the C tribe. There are people that don’t have freedom and want to be freed from the tribe. I won’t let that army hurt these people.” Sodden said. He saw the trust bar on the Carcha was full. “I’ll be right back.” Sodden saiid. “Wait. These are 100% imprinted, really high level Carchas. That guy could get destroyed.” Serenity said. Sodden stopped and turned. “Well, then I’ll just have to stall them until someone comes to stop the army.” He replied. He then ran to the Carcha and climbed onto its back. Serenity walked to him and held out a saddle. “Take the saddle. You’ll need it.” She said. Sodden nodded then picked up the saddle. Then he led the Carcha to a large group of creatures. As it vanished into the forest, Serenity ran back to her base.
Terad had his Giga knocking down the Carchas, one by one. The Carchas tried to take a bite of the Giga, but they kept falling, their head hitting the ground in seconds. Blood was splattered all over the ground, and the army shrunk with each death. Then suddenly, something jerked the Giga in the butt, making it screech and knocked Terad off. He got up, and saw a Carcha standing above him. “I’ll handle this.” Sodden said from the back. He yelled and waved his arms to get the Carcha army’s attention. They screeched and ran for him. Terad got back onto his Giga and ran to hitt the Carchas. “Keep coming! Get away from the base!” Sodden yelled. Terad smiled. He felt happy that Sodden was actually doing something nice. “Maybe he isn’t so bad after all.” Terad said. The Carchas screeched then ran in the other direction, towards the trees. The Giga stopped and so did Sodden’s Carcha. Sodden hopped off, walked to Terad, and said, “Good job, dude.” Sodden said. “No. Good job to you. You protected our base.” Terad said as he hopped off the Giga. He held out his hand to Sodden. “You’ve earned my trust. Don’t break it.” Terad said. Sodden nodded then shook his hand. Then a group of people came out of the base and cheered in excitement. Sodden then walked with his Carcha back down the hills, towards the ocean. Serenity walked up to Terad. “So… what creature is next?” Terad said. Sodden got on his Carcha then ate a nearby Carno. “I’m going to the beaver lake now. Meet me at the hunting area next week for the Cerato.” Sodden said. Terad nodded. Sodden ran off into the forest with his Carcha.
Rod sat on the top of the mountain, with his buddies. “Rod… what the heck?” Nesan said. “C Tribe was warned not to break our trust. Now they will pay.” Rod sneered. Then something hung over the group, growling. “Oh, no.” Dundo said.
“Rod was killed by a Giganotosaurus (Level 140!)”
“Dundo was killed by a Giganotosaurus (Level 140!)”
“Nesan was killed by a Giganotosaurus (Level 140!)”
Is Rod up to something??
Chapter 7 soon…

My first encounter with one of these guys was on the top of the mountain near carnivore island ( on the island map) i was flying with my pteranadon when i saw this guy i checked him with my spyglass and saw he was level 110 before i could even think of taming he just slipped and flew of of the edge of the mountain and out of render.
At last, ive tamed one. Holiday colours, all bright and green. The first rex corpse i tried to feed was viciously eaten by a vulture. The second wasnt (thankfully), and after its trust was max, we were next to an ocean. So where do i go? The ocean. I bite once and every tiny little fish is gone, and i have a new tame. Giggling
