Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
It may look easy or might be easier to tame.
You just need at least creatures with drag weight, mainly
•𝐑𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬
•𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐬
•𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨
• 𝐘𝐮𝐭𝐲
Or anything that's an apex predator or a creature around and above 500 drag weight
Though you might need to get their baby variants via tamed creature breeding, for those who might not have cryopods (like me) you might wanna pre-hatch the egg (Keeping the egg incubation at 5 or more) then kill once it's ragdolled, and slowly but steadily sacrifice the baby to rise the trust meter if it's drooling (passive state with head close to her body) if it sniffs, it's good to drop the sacrifice and back up a a few meters away because you'll never know when she'll jump or not, make sure to at least keep carnivores away from the sacrifice corpse because they'll eat it (why keep them away alive? Because you need it for the second phase)
Once that's done and allows mounting, just jump at least any creature, (mostly the bigger ones with health) and try not to get hit because if you get hit or accidentally jumped off the landscape (due to it's speed) that decreases the taming efficiency and since the Carcha has a hell lotta damage it might be easier, though It'll be reduced by 80% once tamed but to tame it you'll have to avoid reaching 100 kills, getting damage on the Carcha too badly or letting the time run out because they will get the Carcha buck you off and bite you.
(I just realized this could be shortened)
If I see one more person call this a giga I'm going to scream! Wildcard doesn't have to make anything for us because ark is already a great game but here they are giving is this beauty and ark 2 so i don't care you wanted a bison just deal with it you haven't even seen ot in game so yoi have 0 reasons to be complaning!!!

Craft a mindwipe potion if your high level put lot in health get 634 weight then you can drag a rex, paraceratherium, rhynio, spino but still can't drag a yuty
Don’t cryo sick them… sleep for hours
PvP is gonna change, you could essentially use it as a tame for 10 minutes, ex. a base nearby could be demoed, specific person. It’s not too hard to trap with a couple of gates (metal, normal size) and a bear trap. Loving the animations as well, wildcard deserves a high five.

People who says this is really just a giga remake your wrong it has a completely different ability’s and probably size and it got 2nd in two creature votes If I new how to vo.te this is what I probably would of voted for and Wilde card is doing it for us so respect this update also I heard the tameing Method includes a shotgun I think and a shield I think you have to make it lose its teeth some how Plus I have a feeling it will be like the ark additions acro hope this helps people to respect this creature more.
To the person who asked where to find in ragnorock I found mine on the Highlands in NE
What maps will it be in?? I’m hoping they atleast add it to The Island, Ragnarok and Fjordur.

To tame just kill a bunch of Dino’s. Drag em Ina pile. Get it Ina trap. Once it sniffs the floor drag a Dino and let it eat. Do it till the bar is done. Then mount it and kill everything in ur sight and bam.
I have done this before so this is how to tame.
1. Prepare
Large bear trap
Four metal dino gateways
3 cryopoded baby rexes
4 cyropoded dinos with HIGH health
a flier
2. Locate
Look around mountains only one can spawn at a time so look hard!
3. Set up
Set three dino gateways making a box with one open side put bear trap in middle
4. Lead the carchar into the trap and then place the final gateway
5. Get a baby Rex cryo sick, unclaim it, and feed it to the carchar DO NOT TRANQ THE CARCHAR
6. Get one of your high health dinos cryo sick, unclaim it and mount the carchar and eat it
7. Ride the carchar into the trap and repeat
8. If you run out of big dinos to feed run around the wild and kill wild dinos
9 Enjoy your carchar!
Thx for reading, this took a while to make, so if it was helpful you know what to do!
You may ask, how many baby rexs will i need for the entire taming process? Well, its 1 for 100% trust, but your most likely not to complete the entire taming process in one go, so here’s a list: (i still recommend extra rexs incase there is a lack of creatures in your area)
Lvl 1-40: 1 or 2
Lvl 40-80: 2-3
Lvl 80-150: 2-5
It really depends on how many and what creatures are around, but its never guaranteed for a one and done, so good luck and happy taming.
I recently found one thinking it was a new rex skin after my friend told me it was so what did I do, built with stone up high I instantly regretted this as it managed to destroy it and kill me in 3 shots
After taming, if you choose to breed them they will become a full time job unless you have a maeguna. They raise very slowly unless its 2x and after reaching juvenile, 1 carcha will eat 4 troughs of cooked meat in 45mins before reaching 25%. After 25% they seem to slow down the eating a bit. I have yet to play test with tek troughs but will update when I do!
If you trying to find one use either a maewing or wyvern
The 6 triangle foundation with double door frames and triangle roof trap doesn't work.
