Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Step 1: trap it with help from bear traps
Step 2: get a stock pile of dead bodies (turtles and Andrew worked best for me)
Step 3: tame it
Note: my server has 5x taming and a 30min decomp time
You can feed him baby yuty too, works the same!
Do not run out of Stam with your favorite wyvern next to it
Does not like people landing near it
You don’t need a metal gate to trap one stone gates, does the job done feed it and you have a new carca
ITS NOT A GIGA REMAKE'!!!!!!!!!!
To tame a Carcharodontosaurus you will need 1-5 baby rexes cryod in cryopods. When you will Finder a Carcha, you have to kill 1 rex, and grab him to the Carcha. Carcharo will eat the body, and will gain friend tracking. When the tracking is green, ride it and kill everything in sight
If you have no moral compass you can trap the charchar and kill your baby yuty to feed it that will probably make the fill the trust meter up fully and get a few of your high HP diplodocus and kill them with the charchar and now you have a charchar
On ark mobile use (ultimate survivor edition) please don't not set the dino DMG to 0 while taming bc he would not be able to eat the corpses you wouldn't be able to tame it
* I meant snow biome instead of morning biome
I completed to tamed.First trape with 4 metal dino gate then you go outside the distraction range of Carcha, then feed a one baby Rex you breed.
If you got a baby, maeguanas cant pick them up to raise them so you gotta do it the old fashion way
If you plan on taming one of these, be prepared to lure a giga away from the area. May not happen all the time but they spawn alongside each other.
HES A BEAST/MONSTER,never try to beat him, especially if your new, have you seen your gigantosaurus v wild carcharodontosaurus, gigantosuarus wins, but if its your carcharodontosaurus v wild gigantosaurus, carcharodontosaurus wins.
I really like these guys there one of my favs. The best way to tame these guys is by putting down 3 metal Dino gateways in a way to look like a box missing a wall. Then lead him in the trap by having him chasing you then when he is in place another metal Dino gateway then bring dead Dino’s to have him feed. Then a trust bar will appear and when it’s full he is tamed and they don’t need a saddle to ride but you can give it one. Hope this was helpful plz up this to spread the word!
I’ve experimented with taming these multiple times. It’s pretty easy once you have the hang of it. What I do is build four behemoth gateways and attach the gates to them (people say dinosaur gates work too, but I haven’t tested them yet so I don’t know). Make sure they are made of metal so that the carcha doesn’t damage them. Have a space where you can escape and also so you can enter and exit (this is relevant later). Open the gate that you want the carcha to enter, and at the end of the trap, put large bear traps down. Then, shoot at it or whatever to lure the carcha into your trap and make your escape through the small space. When it’s in the bear trap, SHUT THAT DAMN DOOR AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Make sure there are NO gates open. Now that the hard part is done, get an army or a flier that carries stuff and scatter a bunch of animals around. Get as many as possible. This is relevant later. Then, kill a ton of animals and drag the corpses into the trap where the carcha is. Get out of render distance so it’ll eat the corpses, and after eating, the carcha will be a little ornery. This is normal. Keep feeding it corpses until the trust meter turns green. With the animals you scattered, kill them while riding the carcha until it is tamed. If you have to search for more animals to kill, do so.
If you tamed the carcha, congratulations!! You’ve done it!
If the time that the dinosaur is chill is running out and it’s not close to being tamed, ride the carcha back into your trap and close the doors. Repeat the process.
This is how I did it throughout all my experiments and taming my pets. They’re cool asf and worth the stress and heart attacks.
Baby rexes and full grown ones full the bar completely
It may look easy or might be easier to tame.
You just need at least creatures with drag weight, mainly
•𝐑𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬
•𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐬
•𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨
• 𝐘𝐮𝐭𝐲
Or anything that's an apex predator or a creature around and above 500 drag weight
Though you might need to get their baby variants via tamed creature breeding, for those who might not have cryopods (like me) you might wanna pre-hatch the egg (Keeping the egg incubation at 5 or more) then kill once it's ragdolled, and slowly but steadily sacrifice the baby to rise the trust meter if it's drooling (passive state with head close to her body) if it sniffs, it's good to drop the sacrifice and back up a a few meters away because you'll never know when she'll jump or not, make sure to at least keep carnivores away from the sacrifice corpse because they'll eat it (why keep them away alive? Because you need it for the second phase)
Once that's done and allows mounting, just jump at least any creature, (mostly the bigger ones with health) and try not to get hit because if you get hit or accidentally jumped off the landscape (due to it's speed) that decreases the taming efficiency and since the Carcha has a hell lotta damage it might be easier, though It'll be reduced by 80% once tamed but to tame it you'll have to avoid reaching 100 kills, getting damage on the Carcha too badly or letting the time run out because they will get the Carcha buck you off and bite you.
(I just realized this could be shortened)
