Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carcharodontosaurus? Tips and strategies for carcharodontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Unlike gigas you can easily kill a wild one in this process:
1. Find a carcharo that you dont want existing (e.g. its a low level, you want its exp or you need a giga heart) then get the carcharo to trust you
2. Mount the carcharo and ride it off cliffs until it dies or until it reaches low enough health that you can finish it off quickly with a tame since they wont fight back and cant even damage tamed creatures
3. After it dies you will even sometimes get a free giga heart since its a wild dino or if it died from fall damage you and the corpse will have the same momentum so beware of fall damage
Guys, please don’t mess with player damage in ARK ultimate edition unless you want to accidentally kill your carch, use backup save to get it back, and then accidentally kill it again so that you have no carch anymore.
I definitely didn’t do this, and I definitely didn’t stop playing for a few days because of it.
You definitely can’t hit your own friggin dinosaurs and kill them, either…….
Roses are red, violets are blue,he can snap you in one or two.
Day 2: Charcharadontasauraus
Information:
The Charcharadontasauraus is one of the best Dino’s in the entire game with stats rivaling even the giga and has even more abilities and is an exceptional mount that can easily traverse the whole map and, with its amazing movement speed, very quickly. However, there is one major drawback: an extremely difficult tame and can eat right through any structure below metal. It has a wide range of different attacks including a basic front facing bite and I high power 360 tail spin that sends most creatures flying. It has one of the best abilities in the game, which is a stackable kill buff, and it stacks up to a hundred times, and with a full 100 buffs it can solo a wild giga.
Base stats:
Its health is absolutely incredible, ranking in at #3 next to only the titanasaur and the giga. Its melee is also astonishing with only 4 other creatures dealing more damage at 211 per hit on its base attack at level 1. The only major drawback to these amazing stats is that they get lowered an insane amount upon taming.
Taming:
The Carcharadontasaurus has an odd and unique way of taming that includes mounting it and killing other wild dinos, but before you can go off and kill other stuff, you need to trap it and feed it a dead dino. To trap it all you need is a flier, 4 metal dino gateways and a large bear trap. First, you will need to place down three of the four metal gateways in a U shape with one at the back and two on either side facing the same direction. You will then need to put the bear trap at the back of the trap, at the bottom of the U shape. Then, you will need to get on your flier and get the Charcha’s aggro and fly over the trap with it chasing you and lead it into the bear trap. You will then need to quickly run around to the back of the Charcha and place down the last gateway behind it, trapping it in the square of gates. The next thing you will need to do is, if possible, cryo a baby rex and bring it to your Charcha. You will need to throw out the baby Rex and kill it, then drag it to the Charcha and feed it to it. This will completely fill up its trust meter, allowing you to then destroy one of the gateways and mount the Charcha. If possible, try to get to a highly populated area with lots of dinos everywhere and kill everything you see. The bigger a dino is the more taming progress it will supply, but tons of small dinos can also be very effective. Once tamed, I would suggest putting four out of every five points into melee and the other one wherever you see best fit depending on you Charcha’s base stats, but that is just my recommendation, and if you want to do something else, feel free to.
Y'all don't actually need to trap it and prepare a baby Dino if U have a rhyniognatha, y'all just need to find a nearby rex or spino, carry it ALIVE to somewhere near the carcha but not near enough for it to notice U, kill the rex or spino U carried here and drag the body with ur rhyniognatha, it will be slow asf but trust the process. Once the carcha do a SNIFF animation just wait there for it to eat ur offering(btw if Ur wearing ghillie take it off just incase) and if it shows a green sign at top of it's head then congrats now just ride it and kill anything U see until it fully trust U(note that U might want a second flier or a parachute cuz rhynio won't follow U, maybe even a sleeping bag just incase ur didn't have time to react when it throws U off after tame)
In my opinion, this Dino is amazing. And here’s why it’s better than a giga: It runs way faster than giga, way more stam, and the rage can really stack. The tail attack allows it to hit everything around it, while the giga can only bite in one direction. Overall, this great Dino will DEFINITELY be worth taming :)
These guys have some gum issues their gums bleed alot
What’s with everyone trapping these, they’re insanely easy to tame , just get a baby Rex or whatnot, then it’s a free Carcha!.
Typically they spawn where ever gigas spawn. Once found one you have to kill some animals preferably a wholly Rhino. once you have the corpse it's a passive tame so makes it better to tame. Slowly walk up behind the Cardo wait till it sniffs the air and run away so it can it can be eaten. When the the hexagon is full above it hop on it as fast as you can and kill everything till it's tamed.
Make sure not to take fall damage while trying to get your kills in. It lowers the taming effectiveness a lot!
During the process you have to ride and kill stuff after giving it dead body's but to do the ride process try to make the carca be near the red woods because it gets tryst points for killing bugs and other stuff in the red woods
Not a giga remake HOWEVER it has similarities to other dinos.
It's special attack is a slow version of the baryonyx's tail spin
It has a distinct roar similar to a giga and yutyrannus.
It looks like a giga with spikes.
It's walk and run and kill buff are all unlike any ark dino.
(And only old ark players will recognize the eye fire the giga used to have once u fell off a cliff riding one. Luckily it doesn't kick off the rider and go berserk on everything it sees like the giga used to)
I actually play solo because I can't figure out how to join a server(it always kicks me out :/) meaning I dont have a tribe and things to help me, so when I want to tame a carcha, I usually use a Rhyniognatha( you dont have to, any flyer works) because they are pretty fast and reliable, so I find a carcha(usually in the cold biome on The Island map), use keys to hatch a rex egg because its to cold to incubate, and drag it straight to the carcha without a trap because I dont have to worry about it attacking me, since baby rexes usually give 100% trust, meaning you can ride the carcha instead of it attacking you.
I learned this from syntac: when you have it's trust bar filled, ride it then go on a killing spree with the carcha but when the dino your carcha is trying to kill is neutral or aggressive, it will attack the carcha as normal, but it will lower the taming sensitivity, so yeah don't get attacked too much.

Only way to summon via commands.

This creature might be slightly larger then a giga sense in the dossier it says Helena isn't even sure if it was fully grown and hopes it was. Meaning this thing at most is as tall as a giga or slightly taller. As for the abilities, it has a war cry similar to that of a yutyrannus but we aren't sure what it fully does, a tail sweep which is super powerful, a bite that even if it misses will cause critical levels of damage and the most noteable ability, the bloodlust ability. Just like a shark, it gets more vicious when it tastes blood and in the dossier it says it can take on larger creatures when it is in the bloodlust mode. Meaning the bloodlust mode is an overall attack boost to it. However there is one critical downside to this thing, when tamed it doesn't have a saddle so it may be like a wyvern to where you take all damage thrown at you and or like how shadowmanes are with their natural armor. We just gotta see what the Carchara is like on release.
Step 1:tame two rexes(Doesn't have to be high lv)
Step 2:Let them do funky time
Step 3:Pet the baby rex
Step 4:have the best time with him
Step 5:Cryo him
Step 6:Sacrifice him to mighty charchar
Step 7:kill hundreds of innocent creatures while riding the charchar
Step8:You have charchar
Step9:remember that gigas will always be da best
Step10:your done
