For a beginner, these are excellent sources of hide and keratin. They are slow, so you could bow or spear them, and they also don’t do much damage, so it’s fine to melee them. If you want to tame it dont ever use bow (if the is tranq it's alright) for starters use a slingshot or a pickaxe if you're using a pickaxe keep on attacking but ifs lvl 20 and higher don't attack with a pick cuz you would be dead ☠ you can use a bola won't work but you can use for it to follow you and shoot with a slingshot for it to get unconscious you need a lot of berries the best type of berries is mejoberies if the carbonamrys is about to wake up use narcotic or the thing that come jellyfish there good for making dino asleep hope it's useful

This is one of the best choices I ever made as a beginner it is such a easy tame. Just bring 30 stones and a sling shot and some berries. It’s slow but you can’t just walk back words. Because of the slingshots range you can take like two shots run a bit then take two more. Hope this was helpful.

Utility Roles:

1. Tank - These big roaming creatures are bulky and a good defense pet for beginners. They are easily available as they are navigated on the beaches and are extremely slow but they can be good for protecting bases.

2. Keratin - If you simply want keratin the easiest way is to access the beaches and start looking for these bulky creatures. If you can tame them, you can kill them. They harvest keratin once deceased which you can use for saddles.

3. Breeding - And yes of course you can breed them in which you can create your own population of these huge beasts! You can be unstoppable with these huge tanks!
