These things are really slow, so they're easy to tame.

I had a carbonemys and his name was Carni he sadly died by 2 megladons

You can knock them out with axes I tried to kill one but it went sleepy night night

It is one of the most irritating thing you will ever meet. I was swimming swimming than I met a horde of piranhas killed some of them tried to swim away and I met him blocking my way like a fat guy so obese blocked me from escaping I died jn the end lost so much valuable stuff so I respawn swam back to where I died and got my stuff back I tried to swim back to base and ya you guessed it the fat obese guy was blocking me again I died to those piranhas. So I got really mad took a bunch of c4s from base and blew him up so every time I see these obese animals I will take a bunch of spears climb on a rock and keep throwing them for fun

This Dino is a little hard to knock out but is an ok land and sea mount

Make sure you use a crossbow on this one, headshots are the best for it, also tame one 150 male and then get a 150 female to breed. If you need higher levels use a pteredon and barrel roll to kill it and get another to spawn.

After taming try using male and female within a raid so you can have the mate boost to take less damage also walk them in backwards(this won't work for solo raids) if you have more than 3 players have the third player shoot the turrets from a distance as the turrets will be to busy firing at the turtles to shoot it down easier way to raid and get free bullets

When using a turtle to drain bullets from auto turrets, make sure the bullets hit the SHELL! The shell takes 0.2 of the damage versus the tail takes 0.5 of the damage. A VERY significant difference over time.

Turtles have a very hard shell that can protect them.

I had just joined for the first time in ark, I knew nothing about the game. After a while I got a thatch house, clothes, basic tools, and Spears. Then a lvl 32 Carno divides that I looked tasty, so it came and killed me and destroyed my house. I was living on the beach where you spawn. So after respawning making spears and attacking the Carno for the millionth time, I saw one of these and punched it in the head until it KOed. It was only lvl 3 but I tamed it, made some spears and brought it over to the Carno. That turtle and I went to town with that Carno and pulverized it. I recommend taming these if you are just starting out.

If you are looking for health alone and do not have a magnifying glass, use a Pachy and only use its primary attack, that way a you get at least some points into health.

Earth game way to get keratin but take forever to kill bad because they are slow and players can easily avoid them

Turtles are very good at tanking auto turret bullets as headshots dont count as critical and when tamed at high levels can get an extreme ammount of health

This great for gathering berries but keep it close to home sense it is slow. You can also use it to tame large game like the rex by distracting it with the carbonemys

When sent into battle, will take mass amounts of projectiles/hits but converting to minimal damage being taken away from turtles health.

Reasonably easy tame, headshots work a treat then run a bit, turn and shoot, rinse and repeat until it starts running, then shoot the tail. Can be found all over the map but large numbers are found in the south of The Island
